Guest guest
Dear Sateesh (Trish and Ana): Here is one astrologer's view (not mine) on Mars-Neptune. I would appreciate your insights and others on the list when some of these planetary combinations/aspects take place SUCH AS THE SUN-MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE OPPOSITION CONJUNCT EXALTED RAHU-KETU (below), which happens also to be WESAK, the esoteric Buddhist Festival of Light: "Neptune and Mars are conjunct in Capricorn, but they're moving in opposite directions. Well, in truth, Neptune isn't really moving at all, because tomorrow, Neptune goes retrograde, and as it makes this course correction, it seemingly stands still. Mars, always eager to forge ahead, is caught in Neptune's thrall, and that stalls forward progress. When these two planets share the same space, they generate a peculiar form of paralysis. Lethargy is likely, as is a strong desire to go to bed and pull the covers over your head. You might also experience the urge to self-medicate. Be aware, a Neptune Mars conjunction can make you highly susceptible to suggestion, so try not to let gullibility override common sense." "This could be handled, except a Lunar Eclipse, tomorrow, sends a wobble through the entire bundle. During a Lunar Eclipse the shadow of the Earth obscures the Moon, reason overrides instinct, and attention tilts toward practical matters. It's the perfect time warp antidote, especially if you're lost in Mercury Retrograde or dissolving in the dreaminess of Neptune. But sometimes when the emphasis is purely pragmatic, a no-nonsense approach can turn into a my-needs-and-my-needs only attitude. Given the frustration of the retrograde and the fantasies of Neptune Mars, madness is still likely to take its toll." ALSO, Trish, Ana, and Sateesh, this IS the CARDINAL "Grand Cross" we discussed last month, with the Libra Moon/Aries Sun (Mars-Jupiter opposition) today. BUT when the Sun moves into TAURUS on the 15th Thursday, and with the LUNAR ECLIPSE (in Scorpio) May 15 (11:36 PM EST) the Sun-Moon LUNAR ECLIPSE opposition is conjunct exalted RAHU-KETU. Ana: how will this impact Cancer lagna, with NT Rahu-Ketu, H-11, H-5? Othere comments on this event from jyotishis? Guest guest
Dear Sateesh Lunar eclipses are emotional times. In my experience, they are usually more internal than external. Mars with Neptune is sensitive and emotional. It is rather depressing. In Capricorn and in Shravana it deals with deep listening before plunging into action. Neptune dissolves the resolve of Mars. There is indeed a desire to tune out the world and simply be. That in itself is not depressing if your life allows time for it. If it does not, it is very frustrating. The Mars Neptune combination can be self medication but is not entirely negative. If you have lived with your TV or radio on you may suddenly find them too distracting or unnerving. Shravana wants silence and time to turn within. Does it always manifest as illness? No, but when we are ill by necessity we pull away from others which is what this combination longs for. An eclipse manifests more externally when the nodes are very close to the eclipse point...I mean 1-3 degrees. I have my lagna at 20 Cap. and Sun at 29 AR. So the Mars Nep is right on my lagna and the lunar eclipse on my Sun, lord of the 8th. I am highly intuitive at this time, have lots of clients but need long breaks in between and feel a sense of sadness of the ages. I am not feeling ill, but moody and grateful that I can plan my day to accommodate. BTW I have seen astrologers predicting a repeal of 9-11 for this time and I just do not see it or feel it. I think a simple description of lunar eclipse time is emotional purging. c - Sateesh Batas gjlist Wednesday, May 14, 2003 9:52 AM Re: [GJ] Re: Mars-Neptune - 14th May & LUNAR ECLIPSE 15 May aspect Rahu-Ketu Dear Janna, Thanks for this! Guest guest
Dear Cybthia, Thanks for your description "emotional purging" - I feel pretty down - lower than low these last 24 hours. Interesting - your 4th Lord is with Neptune on your Lagna - mind (4th) and dreamy Neptune. I have them joining right over my 8th Lord NT Mars in 5th. So can empathise. Guest guest
Dear Janna, This might be rather trying period. Mars/Neptune, from flu, alergies, low immunity..It is 'signiture' for Chronic Fatique Syndrom, MS etc..Low energy at best. However if NT is not affected, I don't see much problem. In fact "mundane astrology' should have more to say about this.. This eclipse is very bad one- happens close to Nodes, Moon in debilitation, eclipse is total! Preserve nerves, meditate, pray, don't eat, consume anything for couple of hours before eclipse. May this one leave us alone! Guest guest
Hi Cynthia, In your opinion, what effect will this lunar eclipse have on a Libra lagna? Will it cast a shadow on their sense of self? Does the natal Moon position come into play or influence the effect of a lunar eclipse?
