Guest guest
Classical jyotish considers aspects/conjunctions housewise.thus two planets in the same house are considered to be conjunct even if 29 degrees apart.while two planets may be within a fraction of a degree apart but in different houses and yet they would not be conjunct. The same applies to aspects.for ex saturn at 1 deg aries would aspect a planet at 29 deg capricorn but would not aspect a planet at 29 deg saggitarius even if it is very close to 270 deg orb. I agree with the above but I have one question -- to what extent does distance matter? wouldn't a closer conjunction or aspect be more effective than a distant one? I have saturn in the last degree of aquarius and moon at deg 3-15 scorpio.the aspect is there of course but off the mark by over 26 degrees.Does this greatly reduce the effect of the aspect? Are there rules regarding this in vedic astrology? vivek.
Guest guest
Dear Vivek Yes the closer the orb the more the impact . A rule of thumb is that 5 degrees indicates a strong aspect / conjunction . More than 5 degrees indicates a toning aspect/conjunction . Less than one degree gives a very intense aspect/conjunction . Hope this helps Nicholas - "Vivek " <keviv90 <gjlist> Saturday, May 10, 2003 5:57 PM [GJ] ORBS > Classical jyotish considers aspects/conjunctions housewise.thus > two planets in the same house are considered to be conjunct even > if 29 degrees apart.while two planets may be within a fraction of > a degree apart but in different houses and yet they would not be > conjunct. > The same applies to aspects.for ex saturn at 1 deg aries would > aspect a planet at 29 deg capricorn but would not aspect a planet > at 29 deg saggitarius even if it is very close to 270 deg orb. > I agree with the above but I have one question -- to what extent > does distance matter? wouldn't a closer conjunction or aspect be > more effective than a distant one? > I have saturn in the last degree of aquarius and moon at deg 3-15 > scorpio.the aspect is there of course but off the mark by over 26 > degrees.Does this greatly reduce the effect of the aspect? > Are there rules regarding this in vedic astrology? > vivek. > Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya; Hare Krishna; Om Tat Sat > : gjlist- > > > > Your use of is subject to > > >
