Guest guest
Dear Sanjay, >Lahiri Ayanamsa suffers from a first approximation in the average motion >of the ayanamsa by 50" per year instead of 50.24.... This fractional >amount adds up to about 6-7 minutes in the period from zero ayanamsa till >about 1930's. This is what KP probably used for his correction and this >sounds most legitimate. If Lahiri ayanamsa has a yearly value which is too small, will it then not run behind on the actual value and thus a correction should be made by adding a few minutes, not by subtracting. Isn't that simple logic, yet you seem to have got this wrong in your statement here? KP subtracts about 6 minutes, at least according to JHL software. How can we be sure if we have the zero point accurate? What determines it? BTW, modern science points out that the yearly value might change in minor ways from year to year. Anyway I agree that the ayanamsa will not be much more than a few minutes from Lahiri. Other ayanamsas have proven not to be correct. >However, i don't use K.P and only use the Lahiri ayanamsa >as I find this good enough for the present, although I am open and as and >when the Govt would like to set up another committee, or even better we >do this in private, then I would like to participate in any manner to get >to the nearest truth. It's surprising that a good astrologer like you has not shown the desire to examine this before. Even a few minutes difference will give a big change in dashas, and different results in case of planets which are on the edge, including D-charts. It would be a great contribution to the world of jyotish if you could do this. Yours sincerely, Dhira Krsna dasa
Guest guest
Dear Dhira, You know very well that we just cannot look at longevity or any yoga in isolation.. there are lots of contras if then else buts in astrology. For eg even if one has longevity using 3 pairs that Guru Sanjay teaches and if AK is in 7th then it will reverse it.. now if one did no read that contra then everything in prediction would have gone wrong. Its my feeling that art of prediction depends on the technique one uses. I have seen a lot of people predict correctly with Ramans ayansmsa. I myself have seen Krushnaji predict accruately with Krushnas ayansmsa, and I have seen Sanjayji, Narasimha, Visti predict correctly with Lahiri. Which one is right or which one is wrong will then depend on technique one uses. Maybe over years people have factored in that difference in their technique... who knows... so this is a bigger topic than just the difference... This is just my 2 cents on this perplexed topic of ayanamsa... Yes, I also agree with you on the fact that if the likes of Gurus like Sanjay, Krushna with their knowledge and experience and researches like you and various others that I do not know will bring us one step closer to the truth... Cheers !!!
