Guest guest
hi all, Can some body tell exactly what's the difference between Retrograde and Directional planets and how they effect the life. Which one is good Ret. or Dir. or both have same aspect. Kindly throw some light on this matter. regards, Neeraj
Guest guest
Dear Neeraj Opinions on retrogression differ but I will give you mine .( see also the footnote) Retrogression is a source of strength but that strength is more one of focus than giving benevolent results . A perculiar case arises when a planet is retrograde and either exalted or debilitated . Such planets tend to give a mix of very good and very bad results like a wild card effect . They are very difficult to predict . It is like the debilitated planet has become very alert to his situation or the exalted planet has become distracted . Dr Charak says the medical effects are usually negative .( I haven't researched this myself but Dr Charak is a fully qualified medical man and a highly reputed astrologer ) The psychological effects of retrogression are interesting . Jupiter retrograde gives a kind of contrarian wisdom , the person who will for example be a bear when the stock market is bullish and be a bull when the stock market is bearish . Venus retrograde might make someone recognise something as tasteful well before it has come into fashion or recognise something as tasteful that has long been abandonded or underappreceated . Mercury retrograde gives a sharp thinking in themes and concepts with indifference to facts and figures . Hope this helps Nicholas PN I should warn you that my character is not very good and there is a character assasination available on me on the vedic astrology list under a thread called harsh speech > hi all, > > Can some body tell exactly what's the difference between Retrograde > and Directional planets and how they effect the life. Of me maybe but you are most patient. tell me it is not so. smiles c - "Nicholas" <jyotish108 <gjlist> Saturday, April 26, 2003 2:48 PM Re: [GJ] Retrograde Vs. Guest guest
Dear Cynthia Yes I do use harsh speech but this was a thread called harsh speech not a specific case of me using harsh speech . Guest guest
Dear Neeraj One other point I omitted was that it is not good to have three or more retrograde planets . It is thought to give too many areas of intensity in one's life . ~ Nicholas > Dear Neeraj > Opinions on retrogression differ but I will give you mine .( see also the > footnote) > > Retrogression is a source of strength but that strength is more one of focus > than giving benevolent results . > > A perculiar case arises when a planet is retrograde and either exalted or > debilitated . > Such planets tend to give a mix of very good and very bad results like a > wild card effect . > They are very difficult to predict . > It is like the debilitated planet has become very alert to his situation or > the exalted planet has become distracted . > > Dr Charak says the medical effects are usually negative .( I haven't > researched this myself but Dr Charak is a fully qualified medical man and a > highly reputed astrologer ) > > The psychological effects of retrogression are interesting . > Jupiter retrograde gives a kind of contrarian wisdom , the person who will > for example be a bear when the stock market is bullish and be a bull when > the stock market is bearish . > Venus retrograde might make someone recognise something as tasteful well > before it has come into fashion or recognise something as tasteful that has > long been abandonded or underappreceated . > Mercury retrograde gives a sharp thinking in themes and concepts with > indifference to facts and figures . > > Hope this helps > Nicholas > > PN I should warn you that my character is not very good and there is a > character assasination available on me on the vedic astrology list under a > thread called harsh speech > > > hi all, > > > > Can some body tell exactly what's the difference between Retrograde > > and Directional planets and how they effect the life. Guest guest
Dear Nicholas, The only problem you may have, as I see it, is that you are TOO SCRUPULOUS- I understand, you would rather not deal with dirty games, but beware: your respectful nature can make you a perfect 'victim' of those who don't suffer from "problems" with 'ethics' and similar 'useless, old-fashioned' values, you demonstrate. Guest guest
hi nicholoas, I have the following planets retro 1)Mercury 2)Saturn 3)Rahu 4)Ketu 5)Uranus 6)Neptune 7)Pluto. Though the last 3 are not treated in vedic astrology, but my software shows the all of the above as retro and saturn is placed in lagna. My lagna is leo. so it's in the house of sun i.e. first house. any comments --- Nicholas <jyotish108 wrote: > > Dear Neeraj > One other point I omitted was that it is not good to > have three or more > retrograde planets . > It is thought to give too many areas of intensity in > one's life . > ~ > Nicholas > > > Dear Neeraj > > Opinions on retrogression differ but I will give > you mine .( see also the > > footnote) > > > > Retrogression is a source of strength but that > strength is more one of > focus > > than giving benevolent results . > > > > A perculiar case arises when a planet is > retrograde and either exalted or > > debilitated . > > Such planets tend to give a mix of very good and > very bad results like a > > wild card effect . > > They are very difficult to predict . > > It is like the debilitated planet has become very > alert to his situation > or > > the exalted planet has become distracted . > > > > Dr Charak says the medical effects are usually > negative .( I haven't > > researched this myself but Dr Charak is a fully > qualified medical man and > a > > highly reputed astrologer ) > > > > The psychological effects of retrogression are > interesting . > > Jupiter retrograde gives a kind of contrarian > wisdom , the person who will > > for example be a bear when the stock market is > bullish and be a bull when > > the stock market is bearish . > > Venus retrograde might make someone recognise > something as tasteful well > > before it has come into fashion or recognise > something as tasteful that > has > > long been abandonded or underappreceated . > > Mercury retrograde gives a sharp thinking in > themes and concepts with > > indifference to facts and figures . > > > > Hope this helps > > Nicholas > > > > PN I should warn you that my character is not very > good and there is a > > character assasination available on me on the > vedic astrology list under a > > thread called harsh speech > > > > > hi all, > > > > > > Can some body tell exactly what's the difference > between Retrograde > > > and Directional planets and how they effect the > life. Guest guest
Dear Neeraj I don't use the outers and Rahu and Ketu are usually retrograde . Mercury retrograde tends to make someone brilliant with concepts . Saturn is retrograde about 40 per cent of the time so it tends to have less uniqueness about it than other planets which are retrograde less often . Retrograde planets bring focus so I've seen Saturn retrogrades having a lot of persistence at what they persue . ~ Nicholas - "Neeraj Gupta" <gupta_neeraj_2000 <gjlist> Monday, April 28, 2003 4:07 AM Re: [GJ] Retrograde Vs.
