Guest guest
Dear List Members Here is the report on test 77 . I will forward test 78 when it is available . Congratulations to Birgit and Ajit Bhrngarka (systems approach) for getting this one right Nicholas Test No. 77—REPORT There were 39 responses to Test No. 77 from astrologers around the world. Nine of them found the solution on the first attempt A number of others were close or correct on the 2nd try. The following are the solutions offered by respondents who correctly judged that the event on 18 July 2000 was the opening of the woman’s first painting exhibition. (Some of the lengthy replies have been shortened a little but the essential elements have been retained.) Opening of the woman’s first painting exhibition deduced from — Progressed Moon conjunct Midheaven. Mars Transiting Midheaven. —Blake Elliot Gourley (Canada) Progressed Moon conj MC Progressed Sun sextile Jupiter (Natal Sun trine Jupiter) This Signified something about profession, honor, fame, reward, etc. Also Transit Sun, Tr.N.Node and Tr.Mars conj Natal MC, Mars, Pluto in 10th House. This triggered a lot of energy focus on personal fame. — Puka (Taiwan) There are some strong factors that show her interest in fine arts (Venus as 1st lord in 10, strong and benefic Saturn in 5). On 25 July 2000, shortly before the event, began a Ketu-Jupiter-Saturn dasha. Ketu in 9th House Signifies a lot of luck, best times for fulfilling long lasting wishes. Jupiter in 2nd House in Scorpio (its Ruler Mars in 10th together with Venus) is Aspecting the 6thHouse which could also relate to answer 3, good luck at work, but Jupiter is also Aspecting very favourably the strong 10th House with Pluto, showing great success in public.Saturn is a very favourable planet for her in a Vedic sense. He is located in the 5th House relating to arts and self-expression through arts. — Birgit (Germany) The SA moon, which is natally placed in the 5th House of "hobbies" and which rules her 10th/House of achievements) is conjuncting her natal Uranus in the 7th (the public). I tied this in with the PR and SA sun making sextiles to natal Jupiter (natally in and ruling her 2nd House), so the opportunity for her to make money through the exhibition is there as well. —Theresa Borders (USA). As per the sidereal horoscope, the asc is 7Libra51. She was running Ke-Ju-Ju period as per Vimshottari dasha system. Around July 18, 2000, the transit Ju and Sa conjoined in Taurus, a sign ruling materialistic pursuits and comforts, while Tr Jupiter aspected the most effective points of houses 12th, 2nd, and 4th, in addition to being conjunct with the MEP of the 8th house of east gains. Tr Venus, lord of the asc, was transiting the MEP of the 10th house of profession and fame from it. Jupiter lord of the 3rd house ruling initiatives and arts (painting) also influences Sun, lord of the 11th house of income and fulfilment of desires. This indicates a possible livelihood from arts.Jupiter-Saturn Tr conjunction indicates celebration/expression of arts giving some gains in status/wealth linked with an institution from possibly foreign (far off) place. The incident is likely to give happiness and pleasure from fulfilment of desires/ambition, and a possible short travel to the native. — Ajit Bhingarkar (USA) Transits: Pluto trine Sun (in 10th); Uranus (in 5th) opposite Venus; Sun (in10th) conjunct Mars and Pluto; Mars conjunct MC. —Ricardo Fidalgo (Portugal).Mars, Pluto and the Sun occupy the 10th House [of the Radix]. Mars ruling the Sign Aries in the 6th House indicates new works. Pluto tells: I want to change my public world.Pluto ruling Scorpio on the Ascendant indicates: I want to alter 'something' in society. The Sun ruling Leo on the Cusp of House 11 indicates: I have something with me by birth that I have to make public and put into society. Her creative House 5 has Moon ruling House 10 = society is informed of her creativity. Saturn also in House 5 says my constructive power has to operate in House 5. The expression of House 5 with its Cusp in Aquarius is placed by Uranus in House 7: it has to be brought to ‘the other’. On 18 July 2002 Transiting Mars (20Cn55) is on the MC. Mars stands for 'the paintinglady’s new work'. —P. K. Bij. Amstelveen (The Netherlands). My first line of predictive work always begins, if they are available, with Solar Arcs. And here we have: SA/MC=Ur, SA/Pl=Node, SA/Ve=Mars, SA/Node=MC. We have a Tr Sat going into an upper Square with himself, and the following "little" transits (but also eloquent in terms of fine timing tuning) Tr Sun Conj MC Tr Sun Conj Pl In the Tertiary Progressed chart for that specific day, we find TP Asc Conj Natal Saturn. It is astrologically obvious that her social/working status received a boost somehow. The Significators involved in the measurements point to the following Houses: 10,6,5,4 and 1. The measurement's interpretation are as following: Sudden job status change; Identification with a large group; very important contacts; being recognized; creativity in the arts: dramatic adjustment of work status and a change of profession possible; ego recognition; success and fulfilment; illumination of power needs; one's position of maturity shows openly. I will have to chose the 2nd, "her first painting exhibition opened" but I am prone to believe that the 3rd may also have happened. So, she opened her first painting exhibition and also began work in a private art gallery! —Manuel Monasterio (Argentina.) A respondent who originally obtained the correct solution when using a wrong chart has sent this revised answer as a model solution: The subject is in a 4th house Profected year, so we take the ruler of that House for her new Ascendant ruler, so it would be Saturn, since Capricorn is on the Cusp. Lending strength to this is the fact that Capricorn is also the lord of her Solar Return Ascendant. She is in a Mars Firdaria, so we look for a connection between Saturn and Mars. Mars is applying to oppose Saturn from the 10th House of the public eye or career. Saturn is conjunct the fifth House Cusp of creative works, and the Moon, which is the populace. So all of her creative work is coming into the public eye. Her first exhibition opened. —Judy Anderson (USA). Many of the respondents used a mixture of techniques but here is a rough analysis of the principal methods used: Vedic Astrology: 16 Secondary Progressions and Transits: 6 Secondary Progressions and Solar-Arc Directions: 1 Tertiary Progressed Chart and Transits: 1 Midpoints and Transits: 1 Transits only: 1 Profections and Firdaria: 4 Age Harmonic: 1 Uranian Astrology: 2 Solar Return and Lunar Return 1 Solar Return and Solar-Arc Directed Chart: 1 Respondents generally seem to have overlooked the easy solution by Transits which is possible when the Test is simply a multiple-choice type and not one where you have no guide at all as to what happened. Another quick method was by the Age Harmonic No. 63 where the Moon conjunct the MC and trine the “floating” MC gives the answer immediately. A cause of the wrong answer in some cases was the failure to correctly interpret the Chart that did hold the solution. My congratulations to all who made an attempt at solving the problem, whether their answers were right or wrong. As many who do these Tests every month have discovered, they quickly extend one's astrological knowledge and insight as well as uncovering deficiencies. Test No 78. will be posted before the end of the present month. Regards and best wishes to all, Dymock Brose, Editor, Astrologers' Forum 24 Apr 2003.
