Guest guest
Dear Cynthia, You had written saying you were wanting to hear Moola Mars stories..here's one from last night, Feb 17th: I have Mars in the eighth in Aries in my rasi chart. I can tell you it's was very strange driving around in the dark, looking for a road that I couldn't find in the country on the side of a large hill with a large red Moon coming up over the East horizon. The Moon was so strange I was wondering if something had caught fire, or blown up,looking through the trees, and light fog, and a very dark sky despite the full Moon --becasue it was so dim that i couldn't see much around me. Well, something smallish and white streaked across earlier--I assume it was a cat. White or Siamese, but it was too fast to tell. About the right size, and nothing else is around here that is so white... The the next thing out on the road last night was a small black dog--I thought it was a Chihuahua at first.... I hit the poor dog yesterday at somewhere between 7:00PM and 8:30 pm More like 7:30 Central time, I would guess, in the outskirts of Whitefield, near Stigler, Oklahoma. We took it the injured dog along after it bit me when I tried to pick it up--I had stopped on the upgrade of the hill where I ran it over, and the ermergency brakes were beginning to give out. The car was starting to go backwards down the hill, so I got back in and had my oldest daughter wrap it up in my coat and then pick it up, so she wouldn't be bit. I was thinking either the dog will survive, or else it's going to die in my poor 10 year-old's arms, warm, and fretted over, anyway. So here we were traveling around in the dark with two new dogs: one injured and the other newly and unexpectedly adopted.. I stopped at two houses looking for my friend's road, off the "main" one. As it turned out, the sign I usually used as a marker had been removed, so all the roads now looked pretty much the same. No wonder it took three passes to find it. I went down a side road and tried to yell "HELLO I"M LOST" loud enough to get someone to come out of their house, which in this case was a mobile home that had seen better days. They wouldn't. The first man to answer back in another attempt, a very old white man, I managed to hail him out of his house and on to his porch. Old house. Real wood house though. The porch had an aging heart wreath in raffia & tensil on it and there were goldfish in his living room- I could see them in the background. He said that he knew of a man who had a missing small dog--a minature pinscher he said. The dog had run off into the owner's southern fields, while he --the owner, not the dog-- was out looking them over. He told me where the man was--but gave me faulty directions to his house. He didn't know my friend, but maybe knew the road I was looking for, from the marker i said I was looking for.. I had stopped at the second's guy';s house thinking he was the dog owner. The second guy was probably Native American. I could only get flashes of him in the shadows, it was so dark. First thing to greet me as I shouted out HELLO and got out of my car were two very fast very black medium sized dogs running up to me--I thought I was about to be Rottweiler Delight De Jour De La Rouge Lune. My mistake: I was actually being greeted by two very large two black lab and pointer mix puppies. Two Black Puppies Man knew both my friend and the reported owner of the injured doggie. If he hadn't known my friend, I would have been in a real mess: cell phone out of reception and we were also traveling with a damp pyr-mix puppy. We had intended to go to her house to use the blow dryer to get it's fur dry instead of damp...we had decided to adopt it earlier in the evening, after delivering another huge male Pyr into sanctuary with her at her farm. My friend is an animal shelter director and does Pyr rescue seperately on her farm, which is what got her into the total dog shelter end of things. When we finally got to my friend's house--about an hour and half after all this started--she gave the Min Pin a shot of cortosone, and it got up! I was very very relieved that the Min Pin got up--esp since we were taking the Pyr puppy home. To have killed the other dog would have been extremely bad luck in my opinion. At least by then, the Moon had gone pale instead of red, and I could drive the three hours home with a little more light, and knowing the dog I hurt was going to be okay. And my daughter had a "new cat" that barks : white fluffy 15 pounds going on 100 at adult weight..we had missed having a dog to have in the house since Bjela my other female pyr had died the past summer. Guest guest
Dear Denise Thank you for the great story! What a journey of the senses. Can't trust our eyes or our fears in the night. I sure wish I could roll your new puppy around on the floor They are such sweet herders. I love Pyrs. My sweetie's sister bought a small farm house on land in the country while she finished her residency. A Pyr puppy was on the porch and would not leave although sister and her husband wished she would. It's 4-5 years later and they are still glad to have this friendly giant on their property and fancy new house. - "Denise Notley" <venerablebede <gjlist> Tuesday, February 18, 2003 8:23 PM [GJ] Moola mars > Dear Cynthia, > > You had written saying you were wanting to hear > Moola Mars stories..here's one from last night, Feb 17th: > > I have Mars in the eighth in Aries in my rasi chart. > > I can tell you it's was very strange driving around in the dark, looking > for a road that I couldn't find in the country on the side of a large hill > with a large red Moon coming up over the East horizon.
