Guest guest
Dear Listers, Of long I've been trying to deduce the role of Gana in a Kundali. Can anyone guide me to the right sources that describe Gana, i.e., Manushya, Dev and Rakshasa Gana? I have a reason to believe that the way a Kundali is interpreted and its remedial measures would vary with the Gana and Varna (Astrological) one were born under. It does have a greater impact than I believe is formerly thought because I've read the Puranas - Skanda, Linga, Matsya, Garuda, and Vishnu. At almost every chapter there is a reference to Ganas as in creation. I am of the belief that as mentioned in the Linga Purana, If the diameter of the earth is to be around 30,000 yojanas, then Sadayojata, the creator gives us valuable insight into a lesson in Vedic Mathematics and he says all the three ganas are to be found on Prithvi as are the seven worlds, the Seven netherworlds, etc., It is also mentioned in some chapters that "he who will recite this passage to Brahmins or xxx, will attain salvation from xxx evils. Also, the Puranas issue prescriptions to rectify maladies by commentaries that mention "to attain freedom from the curse of xxx, or the evil of xxx, one has to but deliver this eulogy of God, xxx time sin the case of a Brahman, xxx in the case of a Rakhsasa, In this manner, I am seeking astrological light on the Varnas and the Ganas... Any idea how they got to be there? Thanking You Yours Sincerely, Ajay P.Nagrecha
