Guest guest
Dear Cynthia, On your site, you say - "Mars stays in Scorpio until February 23rd. When Mars is this strong, primal forces seem to grab everyone, even the most spiritual and aware. He is most vengeful in February". Why so in February? Is it because Venus leaves Scorpio at the end of January, and so Mars has a free reign in his own Sign? Guest guest
Dear Sateesh Thank you for reading and your question. Yes, Venus leaves and Mars move closer to the tight opposition of Saturn. He also joins Pluto. Mars with Pluto is intense and decisive. They are in the mansion Jyeshta. I've seen this mansion's dark side which is vengeance as a response to perceived betrayal. Add to this Jupiter going backward until early April so looking back on things past and hopefully learning from them. Then there are the triggers of the Moon 1st on January 27th and 28th (interesting isn't it that the UN weapons inspectors make their report that day.) Then, 1 week later when the Moon is at right angles to these planets who are on the ecliptic with RAhu and Ketu and again, When the Moon crosses RAhu and faces them. I try to keep it simple in the newsletter. Do not hesitate to ask for the astrology behind it. smiles c - Sateesh Batas GJ List Friday, January 24, 2003 9:53 AM [GJ] Cynthia - Mars in Scorpio - Feb 2003 Dear Cynthia, On your site, you say - "Mars stays in Scorpio until February 23rd. Guest guest
Dear Sateesh Of transits to the outer planets are not felt strongly. It may be the collective group of people trying to create a different vision for the near future than war. Neptune is deep and sensitive: transpersonal if you will. If you have ever had an out of body experience or lost your sense of the world around you when you were drinking you have a sense of Neptune. It is difficult to explain. At it best imagination at its worst delusion. If we look at your natal placements for a clue you see Mars as lord of 8th enlightenment, the meaning of life and death being triggered by this experience for the people all around you. With transits to the 3rd I find that the combination of creativity and courage is very powerful and meaningful. What will you have the courage to create? It might be an image or a belief it may be a place of inner peace while the world appears to be in chaos. It is very hard to predict the outer planets beyond how they might "feel." The western astrologer Caroline Casey does the best job of using analogy with the outer planets. Her book "Making the Gods work for you." or my favorite, the audio tapes from SOunds True: Inner and Outer Space. I love these and have listened to them many times and still enjoy them. c - Sateesh Batas gjlist Friday, January 24, 2003 12:20 PM Re: [GJ] Cynthia - Mars in Scorpio - Feb 2003 Dear Cynthia,Many thanks for your response - replies in CAPS.----- Original Message ----- cynthianovak gjlist Friday, January 24, 2003 5:43 PMRe: [GJ] Cynthia - Mars in Scorpio - Feb 2003 Thank you for reading and your question. Guest guest
Hello, Hope you don’t mind me intruding..I’ve been following this conversation with interest and had a question..how does this powerful Mars transit affect those with Mars in Scorpio? Is this period easier for these natives to navigate through than others who don’t or are there other factors? Guest guest
Dear Francoise, I guess it depends on the Lordship of Mars for the individual - Mars may be in Scorpio in many natal charts- but where it is a Malefic lord (6th, 8th or 12th) its Transit-return over itself may make matters worse - and conversely if it is a Benefic Lord (and Scorpio is placed in a good house) then its TR-Return will be somewhat good. Guest guest
Dear Sateesh Would you say that in the case that Mars has dual Lordship that it will bring it's Scorpio Lordship into play ? So for Aries Lagna that would mean 8th house affairs whilst for Virgo that would mean 3rd house affairs Regards Nicholas - Sateesh Batas gjlist Saturday, January 25, 2003 7:49 AM Re: [GJ] Cynthia - Mars in Scorpio - Feb 2003 Dear Francoise, I guess it depends on the Lordship of Mars for the individual - Mars may be in Scorpio in many natal charts- but where it is a Malefic lord (6th, 8th or 12th) its Transit-return over itself may make matters worse - and conversely if it is a Benefic Lord (and Scorpio is placed in a good house) then its TR-Return will be somewhat good. Guest guest
Dear Nicholas, Can't say for sure - I still think MT has a fair amount of precedent over Non-MT - even if a planet is placed natally in its own Non-MT sign. Even as close as 51% versus 49% - but always MT first. Guest guest
Dear Sateesh Phaladipeeka gives 2/3 weight to the MT and 1/3 to the non MT . The exception is when the planet is in it's own non MT when most of the weight falls in it's non mT .I would imagine that in transit a planet brings up house issues of where it transits rather than defaulting to it's MT sign but I haven't tested it so I can't say for sure . Thanks for sharing your insights Kind regards Nicholas - Sateesh Batas gjlist Saturday, January 25, 2003 8:48 AM Re: [GJ] Cynthia - Mars in Scorpio - Feb 2003 Dear Nicholas, Can't say for sure - I still think MT has a fair amount of precedent over Non-MT - even if a planet is placed natally in its own Non-MT sign.
