I'm nervous. Help if you can with info as I personally have never used and know nothing about ebay. Please help. You might want to contact eBay and let them know someone used your son's account fraudulently, but even if they don't believe you, the worst that can happen to your son in practice is that the seller leaves your son bad feedback, which is available for other users to evaluate his honesty. Once bad feedback is left, your son will then be able to leave a response indicating that the bid was fraudulent. (This, in spite of eBay's or the seller's legal posturing to the contrary that your son's bid constitutes a legal contract. It does only if they can prove that he did, in fact, make the bid, and even then, only if he's old enough to enter into a binding contract.) And speaking of the seller, he or she is not seriously inconvenienced, either. All the seller does at this point is notify the runner-up, and the sale is consummated between those two.
