Guest guest
Traditional remedies are found in the book, Lal Kitab. I think JDR Ventures or it's VDR Ventures on the net-I can never remember the name---they're in Ohio-- they sell the book. If you're in the States. otherwise maybe it's availible in India from..Chadra what's-his-name.. Some people think Lal Kitab shouldn't be used b/c it was written by The King of Lankas, before he went wonky, if I remember correctly. Depends on ones view. he stopped the universe for a while, so there's something to be said--at one time, anyway--about his austerity and fortitude, isn't there? Also one of the Big Cheeses on the vedic astrology line wrote a book n remedials in the last year or two. find it at...God, what is it? Look up the Shri Jagganath Vedic Astrology Center on the web through google. it's there. One's in India, and one's in the US.It may be listed underwww.sjvc.net or ..org I can't remember, off-hand. Cost you about $30.00, a lot less if you're in India.Less than $12.00 in India, I think...I'm thinking maybe it was Sanjay Rath, that wrote it? Dr. Gola, who is on a couple of these lists, lurking about--he's a friend of the leader of the SATVA movement---says charity is better than all else. I have an article he wrote, if yo want a copy of it, I may be able to dig it up somewhere in my compters memory. maybe. Inhis view,it's better than any other cure. it puts back good karma/money into your spiritual bank account. He's written books on remedials too, in Hindi, I think he said. maybe it's in English for us Schleps, by now...You can get him by contacting the moderater or founder of the SATVA group--Sateesh Batas could tell you about that, if he's a mind to..reading this Sateesh? Das has said on his site--haven't you, Das? Or is it only to me? I think it's on your site..you feel that prayer is what works. Period. No stones--because of the money going into them gets people caught up in..greed, more or less. Is that it? This is your list, and I hate quoting you out of hand like that, but I think there's something in an essay on your website about this, right? Guest guest
I did write an article on gems and such remedials, wherein I promoted being real about it, which is to admit that it's an open science, with many giving varying, often opposite, opinions about what is true and right with gems. In that regard, there is an American born jeweler who owns a chain of stores in Thailand, who is also an astrologer, who cares alot about sorting this out therefore, and who started a gemologist/astrologist circuit or network, for solving this riddle. His findings, extensively researched by querying many astrologers on the matter, are posted on the website. I don't know the URL right now. I'm sure someone can post it. We are all fond of jewelry, and fond of putting hopes for cures into things. We are all pray therefore to the promises of remedials, especially one's as easily performed as wearing a pretty ring or such. Yagyas too, are affordable to some, and we place our hopes there. We all want to end our suffering, and increase our pleasures. This is normal. My only point ever is the logical one: Be pragmatic in your hopes, which can include believing in miracles, but not expecting them. I made the point: Can a yagya make your nose smaller, the way a "nose job" operation can? Can a gem remove large hips, and make a woman young and slender again? If not, then is it logical to expect them to produce a never before found lover, or to make us rich when we've always been poor? I'm just being logical. If we don't expect overt material change, why do we expect covert material change? I guess the invisible leaves more room for God, so we look more for Divine intervention in areas which are not so materially clear. This too is normal. People have always had faith in magic, magical power objects, prayers, mantras, and other things which symbolize our hopes for a better life than what we're currently experiencing. But note, despite the best prayers and curses of the Druids, they were still slaughtered by normal Romans with normal swords. It seems the prayers did nothing. They astrologically picked the time for the Celtic uprising led by Verkingetorix, which resulted in failure for the Celts. That great culture supposedly accutely holding the secrets of magic, fell as they chanted. So we have to be balanced. That's my only point. When one goes to any astrological (Vedic) conference in the West over the past decade, as I did, going to most of the main one's myself, well, you see mostly gem booths in the vendor area. This is followed by software, then books. Note the pleasure and ease factor. The hardest thing, reading a book, has the least booths, and the easiest thing..wearing a gem, has the most booths. It's always this way with Venus and humans. More Venus, more interest, less Venus, less interest. We are pleasure seeking honey bees. Having a real map to real water, and following it, is better than chasing mirages in a desert. Knowing where you're going, is at least as important as how fast you are travelling. Moving fast in the wrong direction, will get you further from your real goal faster, bringing on tremendous frustration when realized. Spending the time to figure a real map, and following it faithfully, is the best tact to take for living life. If you are trying to solve problems, and get rewards of happiness, then think very carefully first, before say spending thousands of dollars on a "maybe". That's my main point. Prayer is that activity of mentally interacting with your sense of the highest powers that exist. That seems like a rather positive thing to me. In this modern time, we no longer just have kneeling by one's bed asking Jesus for Mercy. We have meditation, self hypnosis, visualizations, mantras from Sanskrit and other ancient languages, all kinds of things that can pass under the category of "prayer". Certainly, undeniably, one of the most powerful forces for effecting positive change into our lives in self control over the rampaging mind. This is best done with meditation, visualization, self hypnosis, mantra, prayer, etc. We must control the wild mind, otherwise, it will lead us into, well, nothing short of total Hell. I know it personally. Gems will not control your mind for you. You have to. This is a possibly painful but profitable realization. So, consider what you want, where you want to really go, and what's the real map for getting there. It's a huge hassle to dig under a mountain to find a shiny little rock, in hopes that it changes your life. Mind control is easily available, and is known to work wonders, give you power, give you enthusiasm, determination, all kinds of actually useful qualities. I say go for the later. Not everybody can afford flawless large yellow saphires, I cannot, and I have a whopping Jupiter screaming for one. I still can't afford it. Even when I had the three thousand US dollars to spend, I couldn't see rationalizing it, so I never went for it. That's me. I've had a hard time giving myself such a posession, which can be lost, feels uncomfortable no matter where it's worn, and ties my mind to a feeling that I'm being superstitious, which bothers me. That's me. Hope it helped somebody. r
