I deleted my members list as there was people on it who I wanted off and

wasn't sure of their addresses. Many people join by stealth under a hotmail

account as they are critics of me but also want to see what we are

discussing. It also lets me decide who to let rejoin and who not to. Some

people never participate in any astrology discussions but emerge from the

shadows to attack me personally when something offends them. Attacking my

ideas is fine but when its gets personal I can do without it. If I want my

imperfections pointed out I have a wife to do that on a daily basis. LOL

 

You can join at muruga/ I just returned from

Pundit Navaratnams house where we were joined in discussion by his old

friend visiting from Jaffna. He has also been a life long astrologer and we

have had many excellent discussions on Vedic astrology. We were also joined

by another Jaffna Tamil who gave me a thesis he wrote on Quantum Mechanics

in relationship to traditional Hindu metaphysical thinking. He gives some

excellent examples of how Hindu symbology and cosmology shows the Rishis

were the greatest of scientists who chose to use symbology to reveal

scientific laws. I wouldn't bother posting it as it would just incite some

fundamentalist into action.

 

What impresses me about Pundits old friend is his open-mindedness in

discussing all aspects of astrology like the outer planets, progressions,

dasha progressions and all the things we discuss on the Muruga group. After

decades in astrology he still thinks and acts like a student rather coming

from the egoists position of "I know it all". As for my relationship with

Das I would have thought it was fine and dandy. Das has Venus in the lagna

so expresses himself in a harmonious way with poetic and artistic language.

I have Mars in the lagna and in association with Mercury. I speak and write

in a sharp and aggressive manner. Venus wants harmony. Mars is blunt, direct

and wants results quickly without the bullshit. It is just different modes

of expression and my whole character should not be decided on the way I

write. I have short spiky fair hair and Das has long thick hair. Long hair

is feminine and watery. Short hair is firey. It is like the hippy and the

skinhead. Just different paradigms.

I am fine and dandy with Andrew. On the surface through email, we may

sometimes exchange a hot word or two, esp. in the past.

 

I have been often the spokesperson for "the priesthood" in general. This is

changing in me after long suffering and great introspection. Those kinds of

wordings of mine don't sit well with many, and I know why. I'm changing.

 

I like the clear thinker, warrior, astrologer, scientist, activist, that I

see in Andrew. I think we're quite a bit alike.

 

Of course, the problems of corruption are there in Asia, because much can

still be gotten away with, for example, bribery is an everyday affair in

India, with police and government, all levels. Until overt constant

corruption of police and officials ends, there will never be real freedom

and democracy. "Largest democratic country" is until then words only.

 

I too have spent much time in Asia, and it's intense. I like how

straightforward our Andy is in this regard.

 

On the Jyotish side, my bhukti being better, transits too, so am I. God's

children aren't we all.
