Guest guest
Dear all Do yo suppose that the fundamentalism is stimulated by the fixed tars so tightly aligning with the eclipse path? I was working on my newsletter this morning. Aldebaran, the eye of the bull, is within 1 degree of Rahu and Antares the Heart of the Scorpion is within one degree of Ketu now and with the Dec. 4th eclipse Both of these are intense martial stars. Jupiter stations that day. As wonderful as guru can be, he is also good at pulling people toward him. In Ashlesha, he is particularlyseductive, as Rahu is in Rohini. Any opinions or discussion are apprecitated. I had not seen the Aldebaran until this morning. I find it fascinating with this morning's discussion. I would say one thing about that fundamentalist website. I would venture that for every person that is attracted by that sort of zealotry, there will be aleast one who is repelled by it. Just the other day a friend, also a Vedic astrologer was at a gathering. She was sharing information about what she does with another guest. A 3rd person asked her to repeat it. Then she loudly proclaimed her bleief that she will be saved by Jesus Christ alone yadda yadda yadda. My friend politely pointed out how the different religions have love and faith at their core. The woman would not listen. Other people at the party did and my friend made some new firends. Just a positive note. Things can change. c
Guest guest
While this may be true, I would like to venture the following: I see religion kind of like a sheaf of wheat. Embedded in the chaff of man's artifice is the nourishing grain of spirituality. A wise person will pound the sheaf on the rock of reason and winnow the true meanings with winds of belief and intellect to separate the chaff from the wheat. He gets healthy nourishment from the most nourishing bits of the plant. The fundamentalist is like a starving man. He will eat the entire plant, without examination, to satisfy his hunger. The fact that the chaff is not nourishing is of no consequence to him. The fact that the wheat may have fungus or disease amongst the nourishing bits, is not material to him. He fills his belly and wants no more. The chaff and the nasty bits may make him sick, but since he is full he cares not for any more. Luckly, most of us on this list are "winnowers". -- John *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 11/23/02 at 12:30 PM cynthia novak wrote: >Dear all > >Do yo suppose that the fundamentalism is stimulated by the fixed tars so >tightly aligning with the eclipse path?
