We do not know the details of what Saddam is or is not. Most of us know that

news media and government can and has lied, alot, in the past, to wag the

dog. We know this is true. It's not in question.

 

Here we are being told so much about a man and his army, his plans, etc. We

don't know how much or what of it is true.

 

We have politicians, who have CIA and military, to handle such things. We

doubt they are fully good. But we have little we can do unless we want to

totally alter our lives, become total activists, or risk being killed.

 

So most of us are stuck, on these matters. We go about other activities

hoping to make the world a better place for everyone.

 

We have resigned to not pay attention to these horrible news items, hoping

they are either not real, or that the good guys, whoever they are, will win

first and prevent disaster.

 

Those who join, fund, run, the US Military, well, most of us hope they are

well directed and right. We have our fears and doubts, but again, there's

little we can do.

 

This list is a place where people are supposed to be discussing Jyotish, and

things related to it, such as Spiritual Life, Vedic matters, other

philosophical and religious matters about the soul, the body, health, living

a positive life, and so on.

 

This is a not a good place to discuss and continually put up things about

current political affairs, unless doing so in regards to Jyotish.

 

Even there, personally I request, that we NOT discuss this particular matter

all that much, because it is fueled by fear, which is not a helpful quality

for those on the path of spirituality. There is ample material to discuss

which is not political or war related.

Now after reading Chris Kevill's thing:

 

 

I have NOT studied either George's or Saddam's charts, nor of the two

countries really. Not really. Glances only. Why?

 

Because I intrinsically know that both are good, but in different ways. To

think that anyone is all bad, I've not found EVER to be true. I have met big

leaders, rich people, poor people, and everything inbetween, and find all to

be similar in that they are mixed. They emphasize differently.

 

American's are really good at some things, good qualities, but bad at other

things. In the east, some things are good, some things missing. It's like

this everywhere.

 

To say that Saddam is bad for killing people? Well, our government has

killed people. Our government has shot and killed great religious leaders,

presidents, anybody...

 

We put him down for biological "weapons of mass destruction", yet we've

clearly used mass destruction repeatedly, including on him. What is it when

we take out every airport and radio tower in one night? What is hiroshima?

Hypocrisy runs thick here in the US.

 

When you run a country, and you are based in relativity as they all are

still, no great Saints running countries yet that I've seen personally,

though sometimes I wonder if Khadafi or some others we love to hate are not

perhaps better persons than our own leaders... anyway, no Saints that I've

known yet. So, they are running countries in relativities.

 

To try to satisfy Islam, play games of diplomacy with extremist Islamic

neighbors, placate the extremists within one's own borders, play off the US,

and Europe, and so on... I'd say Saddam has a juggling act on his hands that

few could pull off.

 

The fact is, the Muslims are there, on the world, centered in Arabia. They

exist, and they have certain beliefs, needs, desires, wishes, hopes, and

hatreds. The American's exist, with all the ignorance I'm VERY well aware

of. The average American is a walking timebomb of stupidity, uneducated,

unlingual even, basically illiterate, fat, needy, greedy, and stupid. So to

run this country, is also a huge task, an impossibility.

 

What the world needs is persons on the path of light and truth, who are

actually physically and mentally and emotionally and spiritually pure, in

order to show others the way.

 

We eat GARBAGE and expect to be happy. Not possible.

 

We think and say garbage and expect to be full of light. Not possible.

 

What is needed on earth is Saints, people of the light, spiritual truth. All

this war and greed, religious bigotry, money, all these motivations for war

and hate are all BULLSHIT and AGAINST the SOUL.

 

What we need is Spiritual knowledge, truth and purity. That is the way. And

to get their, we have to encourage each other in it. Association, Sanga, is

needed for strength when on the path.

 

George: I don't know Mr Hussein, but I know something of regular Texans.

They eat meat, they hunt and fish, they think they're saved by Jesus, even

though their bodies are cemetaries of unwilling and unrespected animals.

They have no respect for things like Hinduism, Jyotish, Yoga, Vegetarianism,

and therefore, summarily, they are not real leaders, but only cheaters.

 

I don't know how we can have any success with such a "leader".

 

I see these men as agents of karma, delivering pain to all those who have

not taken to the path of light and truth. The earth deserves these men,

their bombs, and they hell they produce, as payment for not paying any

attention to the truth. They are products of our own greed and ignorance,

just as disease is a result of eating habits.

 

 

I find discussing them as valid heroes, "good men", or any such thing, to be

really just a rationalization of our own avoidance of the Light of God,

Beauty, Truth, Divinity, and so forth.

 

I wish you all the best, which is found in truth, God, Light, Spirit, Yoga,

Vegetarian diet, and so on.
