Dear Dharma/Dean,

Why didn't you finish the job ?

If a planet has lordship of both a "good" and a "bad" house, say Jupiter

for Leo lagna is lord of both 8th & 5th etc ...

Kind regards

Lordship of trine over-rules lordship of a bad house.

Jupiter is a benefic for Leo lagna.

Lordship is the dominant factor in establishing the

disposition of a planet. For example-- For cancer or

leo lagna, mars being yogkaraka is always a benefic

even

if badly placed.Whereas for libra lagna mars is

always

highly malefic even if well placed.

I will like to add that this rule applies to the nodes

too.Rahu rules aquarius and ketu rules pisces.Lordship

determines their disposition.

regards,

vivek.

Dear Vivek,

Sorry, but I disagree with you. No lord of 8th house can be entirely

benefic. Neutral at the most.

Jupiter dasa for Leo lagna will tend to give mixed results (depending on

Jupiter's placement) in that one of the (about) half periods will give

positive results and the other half negative ones.

I am sure that many people with Leo lagna who passed Jupiter maha dasa will

confirm that (including myself and about 10 other charts in my possession).

As for Mars again I disagree as Mars is the lord of Aries (9th) which is a

Badhaka Sthana house for Leo lagna. That makes Mars a Badhaka - 'trouble

maker' for the lagna.

Kind regards

Jay Weiss
