An Open Letter to Das Goravani

Namaste Dasji,

I have read your letters over the past few days,

especially the ones in which you describe your

personal difficulty. These are my thoughts.

As you know, what it is that we are doing is not for

the faint of weak, nor is it for those who have little

if any guts, or heart, or balls. The marjority of

people out there in the world no little if anything

about that which we discuss here.

I think those brothers who put out that flick, "The

Matrix" we owe them a huge debt, because they laid out

exactly what the real deal is, in an entertaining sort

of way. In fact, as the movie lasy out, there are

people out there that are so into what "they" say the

world is, that they will fight YOU when you are trying

to save them! This is what you have talked about in

your most recent letter.

Believe me, I know all about what it is that you are

talking about. Being a Brotha from Da Hood and know

what it is that we know, does NOT make for an easy

existence.

I know exactly what you mean about the women; trying

to find a Sista that is into what I'm into is TOUGH.

But I was resolute to find someone that I could have

at least a base level of understanding, who at least

didn't try to block what I was doing. I decided that

the only way that any of that was going to get done.

was to get involved.

So I went out and tried all sorts of things -

telepersonals, ads on the internet, and I made use of

my "network" of friends. It all worked - within the

last year, I have not been alone, unless I wanted to.

And while I certainly have had my share of "misses",

right now, as I speak, someone that I may end up

spending a great deal of time with is looking at me

from the bed right now (May 18, 1983, 12:28am EDT,

Philadelphia, PA); she is a good girl with a good bit

of sense, and she gives me no problems, at least no

yet. ;)

I guess the bottom line in all of this is to get your

butt in gear and get involved. You can't possibly

expect anything to happen if you don't get out of the

house.

Now, I know that Eugene, Oregon is a far cry from

ultra-urban Philly, PA, but you have got to get in

gear and make some things happen. The same goes for

your financial situation. Sometimes, you have to do

some worldy things in order to make it. That doesn't

mean that you to do an "Enron", but it does mean that

you have to eat. All the moreso when you consider that

your kids also have to eat, and they're depending on

you.

You have to take that anger turned inward, and turn it

outward; you have to what guys like Allen Iverson do,

take the bumps and bruises of life and use that as the

fuel to get further. Depression does no onre any good.

The first step I would do is to get a makeover - time

to get a different look. When you look good, you feel

good, and this doesn't mean that you have to shave all

of your hair off, but it would be a good idea to trim

it a bit. You know, update the whole "Hindu" look

thing. Maybe pull your hair back into a ponytail, and

trim the beard a bit. Come out of that black, man.

Black is a very powerful color, and only those who

have the utmost mastery of themselves, their emotions

and the rest of it, can wield it correctly. Wearing

more white and lighter earthtones will go a long way

toward uplifting your spirits.

Once you get that straight, the next step is to go

where the ladies you want are - you have to meet them

where they are. I can of liken it to going to the

hunting ground, and you have to be resolute about what

you''re going there for, and that you will not be

moved. Yopu have to be willing to sift through a good

number of females to get the one that you want, and

you cannot accept "No" for an answer.

You have an awesome edge that very few people have -

you have the Knowledge of the Skies at your

fingertips!!! This can be an immense help to you. I

know for a fact that I have Astrology in a major way

to assist me in finding the right ladies to spend time

with. Think about it, without going through all of the

trail and error that so many others do, we Jyotishis

can cut right through the middle man, by going

straight to the stars for guidance. On the basis of

our chart, we are able to define exactly what our

needs are; by divining the nature of time, we can set

out at the best time to get the desired results we

seek; and when we get the females we want, we can use

Astrology to see to what extent they are compatible. I

tell ya, finding women has never been so easy!

I have many instances where right away I know to stay

away from a certain girl when I see her chart; or, if

that is not possible to do, I just make use of a good

Prasna - afterall, a good Jyotishi should be masterful

at Horary.

All in all Dasji, it is all up to YOU to make the

changes needed for a New Plan; and I know that if

anyone can make a turn-around, it's you!

Please keep all of us posted on your progress. Now,

get to work!

Salaam,

Mu

Dear Siva Mu and Cynthia

I appreceate your feelings .Dasji is a person who has a solid background in

Vaisnavism and Jyotish who has suffered a lot and therefore is able to

connect with others who are suffering. He is insightful and can therefore

contribute a great deal .At the moment though I think he needs time to sort

himself out and establish what is important to him so let us leave him in

peace .
