Guest guest
Dear Carol, that is the end product of six years of research that I hope to soon write up in detail as there is a lot of astronomical and astrological facts involved. The basic idea is that when Dhruva, the pole point, is exactly opposite the Galactic Center (Joni will like that idea!) the Ayanamsa is 26:40, this happens in the year 2228. We still haven't made all of the astronomical/galactic discoveries neccessary to pinpoint the correct ayanamsa, but with the discovery of the exact center of the galaxy in recent years we can be more accurate than Lahiri. Since we haven't discovered everything to calculate the perfect ayanamsa there is a great chance that this ayanamsa is off by a few minutes due to anomolies that are untrackable right now, but in any case I have found it much better than Lahiri and have great luck using even the Shastiamsa with it. Take Care, Ernst Wilhelm
