Matching two charts: Compatible or not?

Dear Das Goravani, Cynthia, Inderjit Sahni and other

respected members,

 

Here are two charts, they both have their Moon in

Capricorn (Makar) but different Nakshatras (Danishtha

and Uttara Ashad).

 

Does this make their thinking pattern and feelings

towards spirituality alike?

 

There's surely GANA Dosh (Manushya v/s Rakshash).

 

There are few things that match but the list of

malefics for both charts are the same, does that mean

they are conflicting in nature? Does that mean the

charts are less compatible or not compatible at all.

 

What other differences or similarities makes these two

chart compatible or not compatible.

I'm curious if i was right or have overlooked many

things in this chart, it does look its a karmic

relation or reason for the compatibility. Is this

going to be long term or short term relationship, if

at all there is any?

Both charts need to be balanced as far as Kujadosha

affliction is concerned. The man does not have KD in

the rashi, whereas the woman has KD in the rashi. To

be balanced, you should look at the woman's trimshamsa

to determine if she is free of KD there. If so, the

KD question is resolved.

 

Also, you need to find out what the overall score is

for their kutas. If the score is above 18 points, the

marriage should be recommended.

 

The method used above was prescribed by Pandit Parsai

in his book about marriage compatibility.

 

I have not applied the other methods used by DeFouw

and Svoboda in their book, "Light on Relationships".

 

I'm sure the other members will have other opinions

regarding this matter. Let's see what others

recommend.

Dear John,

 

Well from another point of view i see the Kuja dosh of the girl is

mitigated with the presence of Sani (supported by Budh, as it is the

lord of the house).

 

No doubt if u see the boy might have a Kuja (manglik) behavoir with

Vrischik (scorpio) as the lord of the Ascendant. Also the Kuja defect

is mitigated in the boy's chart too with the presence of Sani with

Mangal (like the girl).

 

Please put across your arguments and justifications.

 

Besides Kuja dosh, is or are there other reasons, karmic or others

which could have brought them together? It could be a short/medium

term relationship even if it doesnt end up in a marriage. Do u see

such an event, if so for how long and what will be the nature and

quality of this relationship overall?

 

How do u calculate the Kuta points, i;m not in favor of manual

calculations, are there software programs which calculate them with

good accuracy. Otherwise what are the steps to be followed to do

these calculations. Could you give a brief outline of these steps.

My method of compatibility is basically based on a

book by Pandit Parsai. His technique is fair and

based on his family tradition of jyotishis. For this

chart, I have not incorporated other methods used by

jyotishis like DeFouw and Svoboda, who live in North

America.

 

My responses to your comments are as follows:

Pandit Parsai recommends that the strenght of KD must

be balanced with an equal strength of KD in the

partner. He did not mention the mitigation factor

that you mentioned about Shani and Buddha.

Pandit Parsai considers the conjunction of Shani and

Mangal in the appropriate houses to be a stronger

affliction of KD.

 

You must be using another tradition or method from

Parsai. I am not aware of such method. Perhaps, you

can explain your source.

According to Pandit Parsai, there are other factors

that attract couples to each other. These are: (i)

the locations of the Moon, Venus, and the Sun from the

charts, (ii) the lagnas of the couple, e.g. Simha

Also, DeFouw and Svoboda considers the ayurvedic

aspect of compatibility too. The authors state that

it's better for couples to have the same ayurvedic

constitution, such as pitta, kapha, and vata.

Several jyotish programs have the capability to

calculate these kuta points. I am using Parara's

Light for constructing the charts.

 

You should read BV Raman's book about marriage

compatibility. He describes in detail how the kuta

points are determined. There are other books as well.

 

These kutas cover several areas of life relating to

the positions of the nakshatras, the sexuality types,

and other factors.

 

The full description of the kuta system is too long to

be covered in this discussion.
