Guest guest
Dear All I'm over my head with this one. I have a client coming in who has had a malignant brain tumor. It was removed and she is doing well. I believe she said the surgery was in January, but I'm not certain. She is now able to drive again and live her life. I can see the health crises in the chart. My question is this: How do you tell when it will return and if it will be fatal? How do you calculate the 64th navamsa? Is it significant that there are 3 planets in the 8th house of the navamsa? This might seem like beginner's astrology, but I have avoided learning this and now it seems to be coming at me at every turn. So, John, Nicholas, Das et al. Would you mind teaching? Here is the birth data: woman January 3, 1954 19:30 Long Beach CA PST 118w11 33n46 Lagna is 23CA Ketu is 0CA45 Saturn is lord of the 8th and is exalted in the 4th but with Mars: SAturn 14:29 Mars 15:34 In the 6th (yikes! Saturn will aspect fully soon) Moon 8 (lord of the 1st) Mercury 13:42 (lord of the 3rd and 12th) Venus 13:50 (lord of the 4th and 11th) Sun 20:01 (lord of the 2nd) Jupiter lord of the 6th is in the 11th and was transited heavily in the 1st half of this year. She is in Rahu / Jupiter / Jupiter starting May 10, 2002 and enters Rahu / Saturn / Saturn on October 3rd 2004 If anyone can help me answer the following I would be mst appreciative: Will Saturn as Shasha Maha Parusha serve to strengthen the body as indicated by it as lord of the 8th of longevity OR will it work more strongly as a maraka as lord of the 7th? How can you determine whether the Saturn transit will help her rebuild her health or weaken it? Jupiter is indicator of tumors and Rahu recently crossed Jupiter in the Rahu Jupiter period. How can you determine if the tumor will return? Exalted Jupiter transiting the 1st should be very helpful. It is also good to see that the tranists now of Mars and the Sun have not brought more problems...at least as far as they can tell. It would seem to me that Saturn has thus far been a transit of rebuilding the body and that Jupiter (even though it is a friend to the chart) has been the transit that was going on as the tumor was discovered. Any insight would be helpful. It seems easy to see that health would be a great challenge. How can you tell if that challenge will lead to death or simply to facing death and coming out the other side. As a western astrologer I see the later with the Pluto transit triggering the lagna. How can you tell as a Vedic astrologer? thank you in advance cynthia
Guest guest
Cynthia, Your client doesn't have any planets in the 64th navamsa. The 64th navamsa is calculated by: 1. counting four houses away from the Moon in the navamsa. 2. finding the navamsa of the Moon in the rasi and locating the same navamsa in the 8th house. In your client's case, the 64th navamsa in the rasi would have been 6*40' to 10*00' in Cancer. You client has the 11th house lord, Venus in the 6th house. Dr. KS Charak states that his formation causes many ailments. Plus, Venus is combust, along with the Moon and Mercury. Further, Saturn is aspecting all of the planets in the 6th house. Saturn is the 8th house lord, and lord of the 22nd drekkana. As such, Saturn has acquired a very malefic role in this chart. As you observed, Saturn is exalted in the 4th house. But I believe, in this case, the aspect of Saturn to the planets in the 6th house has caused havoc to your client's health. I agree with you that the transit of Jupiter in Cancer should help out. So, your client should have about a year of reprieve to recuperate. The period of Rahu/Saturn might be difficult for your client. During the same time period, the transit of Saturn on the 64th navamsa will take in effect too. This will happen about 2 and a half years from now. In my opinion, your client should seek ayurvedic help to tone down her doshas. Meditation will definitely help along with ayurvedic herbs. Your client could also use gems to help to strengthen the weak planets, especially the Moon and Venus. In addition, your client should seek out a pandit to perform yagyas just before the onset of her Rahu/Saturn bhukti. Guest guest
Dear John Thank you for taking the time to respond and for once again defining the 64th navamsa for this air head (vata brain grins) She is actually doing very well with the Saturn transit. Unless I am mistaken she had the surgery earlier this year with Jupiter in Transit facing the planets. This is why it is so intriguing! I would have thought that Jupiter would have supported the health and Saturn as lord of the maraka 7th and the 8th would have strengthened its maraka stance. It seems that Saturn is occurring while she is on the long-slow steady road to recovery. Of course, these are also Saturn traits. A friend is studying with David Frawley. He was taught that the 8th is the house of longevity not the house of death and to look to the 2nd and 7th for that. In this case, Saturn is lord of both. That is what makes it so puzzling to see which it will be! Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya, Dear Cynthia, I know you are aware of such delicate matters, so I understand that you will convey your client only the best moments, and not some possible bad predictions. This chart shows affliction at first sight.Dasha of Atmakarak Rahu which is 5th by order is bad. Rahu is strong maraka being placed in 7th house, and akin to Shani. Rahu is in Rashi Sandhi in nakshatra of Surya who is maraka. Lagnesh is in 6th with several grahas they being placed in 8th from Arudha Lagna. Shukra is badhakesh placed in fixed navamsa with budha and guru, so tumor (guru) on the brain (Budha) is visible, more so in surya navamsa . There are malefics in three kendra forming Sarpa Yoga- notorious Yoga for distruction of body. Rahu dasha as atmakarak is certainly punishing yet, Rahu as atma doesnot normally kill, Saturn transit in Gemini will surely Regain her health, so for two years and a half she is safe. Chandra is in amrita shastiamsa, so fasting on mondays with sincere bow to Lord Shiva with mritunjaya mantra will do wonders: Mritunjaya Mantra is as follows:(direct transcription) Om Triam bakam jadjamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam urvarukamiva bandanan mritjor mokshija mamrtiat. It should be ideally done for 40 days two times 108 times, and immidiate releif would come. Else, Shoola dasha (see Parashara) of mituna, having Rudra (shani) in trines could be deadly. Shoola dasha lasts till 2008. The next 2.5 years she is safe (shani in mituna), while the second part of shani antara from 2005 will worsen the condition, to be very severe in budha antardasha.Do encourage her to fast and chant mantra.. Best wishes Zoran cynthia novak wrote: > Dear All > I'm over my head with this one. I have a client coming in who has had a > malignant brain tumor. It was removed and she is doing well.
