Can't chant the name blame game

I think our hare krishna friend

wrote what he did just to prove

some things I tried to clearly tell

about the ringers of the bhakti bell

 

it must all be summed up summarily

under the words of Rupa Goswami

who wrote the codes of Mahaprabhu

who's teachings to which they stick like (are you waiting

for me to say "glue")

 

I seek not refuge in the name

I seek not honor, wealth or fame

I just want a family, someone around

at least one person, who lives around town

 

I gave my all to the movement too

I bought the teachings through and through

and that is why it's dear to me

to spread them all over the world you see

that's one reason I'm shocked that no vaisnavi

has chosen to really be with me

 

Innattentive chanting, oh yes, my friend,

I never joined for release at my end

I joined to be with Krishna's devotees

who fanatically have abandoned me

 

Why do I say that, well this is why

up here in Eugene theres a pie in the sky

it's called Vrandavan, and Narayan Swami

to whom they've all turned, for sanctuary

 

But I just cannot do it again

all of the guru worship so grand

and pretending his every word to care

as if it's Krishnas flute in the air

 

I can't learn new lingo,

grab the new talk

get a new name

behind Swamiji walk

 

i'd rather stay home

cuzz I've done that before

and wasted my time

after awhile it's a bore

 

i'm fasther than that

i have things to do

i can do so many things

my living room is a zoo

 

of computers, and music,

videos and phones

all gathered and purchased

to build krishnas home

 

I just do not want

to endlessly

have to beg

for friends and family

 

by going along with party lines

shen Sek Mat and Isis had theirs all the time

 

should I follow this one or that one

or the ma's, shiva too, krishna das, and Osho

and Christinity?

 

I have so many places

that I could bow

they'd milk me, constrict me

like betsy the cow

 

i'm already saved

i do this to show

how ugly it can be

when God's all you know

 

do you get it my friend

it's not about rounds

attentive or not

it's on other grounds

 

oh i can go back into my world

of lonliness and working for the world

but it stopped some time back providing for me

the things that I need, emotionally

 

I've tried to express, in words which are clear

that I have hardly a way, to a spouse draw near

and turned to this list for help because

you know me and all about my cause

 

or so I thought, or hoped I guess

that somehow or other, some help I could get

because i'm not average, and problems arise

when i live alone, it's just part of the package

 

i don't think it is about the name

or how I chant it or give krishna fame

i think it's about how a bi polar bear

feels abandoned, stranded, frightened, out there

Dear Raghu Das Goravani,

 

Now, now Das! That good gentleman from India gave you sound advice, but

you're still not hearing. I know you don't want advice, you just want a

woman to love. BUT, how about advice that enables you to find the path,

walking which you will find someone to love? You didn't hear the love and

compassion I have for you in all those exchanges re: Prabhupada,

etc. Forget the institutions, the guru-game (that is superimposition of

will by some over their followers), and all the institutional abuses that

you experienced before. You don't need any of that to recite the exquisite

and magnificent names of Krsna, and none of that will interfere either if

you want it. Doing so, your mind, your heart, your consciousness, and your

soul, all become illuminated with deep, luminescent, and transcendent love.

 

We cannot honor the love of a woman or a man, actually, if we have not

first loved God. We seek the love of God. Is the love you want Divine, or

is it to receive the care of mother that you never got? Too many siblings

in your family! You never got attention, and now you expect that a woman

is going to live with you and become your mother. Resplendent and dripping

with ecstatic love, the Maha-mantra welcomes everyone into the Divine Lila

of Krsna. That will get you to the right position of consciousness, with

or without your companion who will help you in life. Yes, find the

companion. Before that can happen, you have to go back to Radha and Krsna

and enter into that sublime dance that we all forgot long ago. You do not

need the guru to do this. No, you do not need to follow any

preachers. Please do this: just sit down for 5 minutes, and chant the

names of Hare, Krsna and Rama. Recite the mantra as follows:

 

Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare

Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

 

Everything we get that is life-enhancing, re-enforcing, and sustaining, is

a matter of blessings only. Not everybody gets the blessings,

however. You have Laksmi yoga in your chart, as well as Parijata and

Raja-Dharma-karmadhipati yogas, what then to speak of Sankha and Saraswati

yogas as well. These show that the blessings are forth-coming for you as

well, and are there for the taking, yet you are not looking for them in the

right places. If Srimati Laksmi devi wants to bless you, do you look for

Her on the Internet? The answer becomes moot after a while.

 

Das! You've got one of the most desirable positions of Jupiter in your

chart. Jyotishis admire that placement of Jupiter, in Moolatrikona in the

9th house. This shows you are a faithful, religious person, with deep

spirit and great Sukriti to your credit. You are a teacher for the masses,

a true Priest. Now, Saturn is trying to dominate you, and thus at varying

points along this path, your faith is tested. You have to stand tall, and

counter the offensive forces that would wish to defeat your faith. So far

they are doing a good job. You're not done yet, however, you haven't even

finished the Saturn/Rahu dasa yet. Saturn and Rahu! What a bunch of thugs

- they're trying to bring you down, and you're falling for it. Get back to

where you were, my dear friend. This has gone on long enough.
