Guest guest
Hi everybody! I am a novice in astrology and while reading some books, came up with a doubt regarding astrological influences on human beings. I kindly request advice and clarification from anybody who can help me. Do to my overly analytical tendency, I try to find a logical explanation for everything, and I can't seem to rest until I understand the following points: EXPLANATION - The Hindu system of Astrology is based on the premise that the natal position of planets is dependent on the past Karma of the human beings, and gives complete picture of the life of the person concerned. The interpretations are dependent on the position of planets in the heavens at the time of birth as well as at the time of interpretation. QUESTIONS - According to some references in shastras, the conception, or when the ovulum is fertilized (soul "Atma" enters specific fetus), is the moment when the human being gains individuality as a Jiva. Therefore, can the moment of conception also be relevant to consider astrological influence on that particular living being? There are many cases of babies being born by caesarean, and therefore, the doctor virtually decides the moment of birth. This obviously is connected to the individual's past Karma, but does this medical alternative for giving birth to a child interfere with the correct readings of the planetary influence? It is known that the influence of stars / planets on human is constant, and therefore, the fetus is being constantly influenced by the astros since conception. Why is the moment of birth (natal position) the only depending factor to draw a horoscope? Please do not interpret my questions as defiance to the concepts and fundamentals of astrology. I was just wondering whether there are any explanations for these points (just plain curiosity). Thank you, Rama Raghava das
Guest guest
are we seeing a pattern in chaos or the chaos itself is part of a pattern? Dear AM, Chaos is not patterned ever, by definition. However, Order can be brought where chaos one was. Best to you, Carol
Guest guest
Dear DG, I wonder manytimes, if it is really true that life is a progression of charts conception to death (perhaps even before and after, some would say). I really get attracted to the view point only to be dampened by the thoughts that man always tries to see pattern in chaos. What if the whole world is a "chaos" and we are only desparately trying to see a pattern in it. The more smarter we are the more grandiose our patterns. Though I am doing my own self study in astrology for the past several years (as you can very easily tell), I have not been able to convince myself oneway or the other. I believe this could be because of my limited understanding of the first principles of astrology. We see all grand combinations, theories, everything works- makes sense, when applied retrospectively, but when it comes to prospective testing, I fear that our pattern recognition blurs. I know this is a vedic astrology forum and I am being blasphemous by posing this question. But I reckon, I can only question where I can find my answers..... are we seeing a pattern in chaos or the chaos itself is part of a pattern? I would appreciate if you would care to share your thoughts re the same..
