Puniyathithi Arathana

Radiant Divinities

On this auspicious day of Puniyathithi Arathana let us remember our Guru.

Let us contemplate on the following:

If we are able to see in a HUMAN individual manifestations of Holiness, of

Sanctity, of Purity, of Sublimity of Nobility, of Goodness, of Loftiness of

conduct - something extraordinary , then we say " If such a human being can

exist, GOD must exist.

Otherwise from whence do these qualities, which we do not normally see in

human behavior come from?"

When we see this Divinity , this Holiness, this Sanctity, we begin to

realise YES,I may have not seen GOD, but certainly I have seen and

experienced GODLINESS."

Make this day an offering of love at the sacred feet of the GURU,

remembering that obedience is better than reverence. The Guru's words are

mantras for release from the cycle of bondage, of birth and death.

Thank you for these words.

I think all Guru's start out as you and I started out and become Godly

through their desires, choices and priorities.

Instead of allowing mundane, temporary concerns to whirl around and

around in their minds, they chant the Holy Name incessantly.

Instead of spending their days working for money to pay for families and

material comforts, they remain celibate and use their time and

energy to commune with God in Nature and they practice seeing God in

everything and everyone. They read scripture. They teach what they

practice, they teach what they most want to learn. It is really only a

matter of desire and intentional conduct. We see purification radiate

through them due to their daily sadhana and the biggest way to

honour them today is emulate their practices and habits as much as

we can.

They come before us ... to show us ... that we too, can purify our life

and our soul and ultimately attain enlightenment.

All glories to God and Guruji ~
