Guest guest
Dear Visti, Thanks for your enlightening answer. >5) He had 1 child. He was married at the age of 16. >6) He was protected from the world, and all suffering was removed from >his eyes, hence very strong Subhakartari Yogas would be present. > >7) His Birthday is celebrated on Vaishak Poornima, and his birth was said >to be in the Lumbini(Rummindei) area. now part of Nepal. Can you find the >longitude and lattitude? i am unsuccesful at present. I have a book of Bhaktivinode Thakur, "Krsna Samhita" where he states the village of Kapilavastu as the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. It is in that area, I suppose, certainly it is part of Nepal now, and belonged to Gaya province before, hence the statement of Bhagavatam that He would be born in Gaya. The coordinates are 83E37, 26N43. According to another book, his year of birth is 563 BC or others say 623 BC, note the difference of 60 years which is the Hindu cycle of naming the years. So I guess that should be known also. Have a try. I'll have a look also, but am in a hurry now, and I have no time anymore today. I'll see tomorrow. Yours, Dhira Krsna dasa
