Guest guest
Bonjour Marie Moi "When Ketu is the Atmakaraka, we can see the connection to Lord Matsya or thegiant divine fish." Toi <<Tu écris que Ketu peut être Atmakaraka... je ne comprends pas... il me semblait que Ketu ne pouvait être Atmakaraka... (?) Si tu peux m'éclairer >> moi On behalf of the English reading people I will translate your nice question. You have said "You have wrote that Ketu can be the Atmakaraka, I do not understand, it seems to me that Ketu cannot be Atmakaraka. Can you clarify this to me?. me My error. And thanks for your quotation because it helps me to see where and how I have made that big mistake. I first clarify that you are right, Ketu cannot be the Atmakaraka, and only the other 8 planets can be the Atmakaraka or the natural indicator of the Atma, the soul. Because Ketu is the tail of Rahu, only Rahu can qualify for Atmakarakahood. Your quotation has helped me to understand my error. When I did write my error I was tired and I had a break before that error was allowed to happen. In my present condition I only write emails during the mornings, when after a good 6-7 hours sleep, I do have more batteries on. I did start writing at about 9 am. when I was writing about the atmakarakas to explain their importance, I did not want to break the continuity of my thought, and therefore I did not even want to consult my reference library. I knew that it was a big task but I did want to test my memory. Now I can see that the Avatars of Krishna are explained in the Srimad Bhagavatam (the cream of the Vedas), Canto 2 chapter 7. Srila Prabhupada called that chapter, Scheduled Incarnations with Specific Functions. By reading about those avatars we learn how not to be cheated by those so-called avatars that do not know better but to cheat those that do not know the Vedic teachings. I read my notes on that book and at the end of the Chapter I wrote the dates when I ended reading it: 19-June 1976 Paris, France. 03 February 1994, 07:52 London, England 24-April-1996, 15:44, Lemming Bar, England. Behind this page I underlined what Srila Prabhupada wrote in his purport to the last text to this chapter: "The cheap reciters of the Bhagavatam are very much enthusiastic about the lord's internal potential activities, and the pseudo-devotees, absorbed in material sense enjoyment, falsely jump to the stage of liberated souls and thus fall down deeply into the clutches of external energy." And at the end of the next paragraph, he writes, "Lord Sri Caitanya never indulged in hearing the rasa lila with ordinary men." Wow, that is nectarine information. While writing this email I am listening to the CD "Tapestry" of carol King. Have you listening to it, it is beautiful, "Way over yonder, that is where I am bound", "When you are down and need of a friend.....You just call out my name and you know wherever I am, I am coming and see you again..........You got a friend." Krishna is your best friend and just call at His Holy Name, and He will coming running to see you again. Any way back to my mistake, after some 3 hours writing emails, and a long writing about the atmakarakas, I did stop to have a break after the end of Thursday, or Vamana ruling Jupiter. I had a slight lunch after a morning fast and watched the TV news on BBC TV. At 13:45 I did go back to the email that I was writing, and continued with Friday or Parasurama. To save time I was coping and pasting like this: When Ketu is the Atmakaraka, we can see the connection to Lord Matsya.... Notice that I had only to edit/change the words for the planet and the Avatar, easy done, but after a long seat writing and a long break, I did lost the plot and I did not concentrate in the fact that Ketu cannot be the Atmakaraka, by then my mind was more on the track of writing about the 9 avatars than on the 8 Atmakarakas. Perhaps Ketu did not want to be left out, because he is also important when reading a chart. I hope that this email clarify my error.
