Guest guest
I am 42. If you take me, times fifty, you get 2100 years ago. So a meer 50 of me, puts us back in Celtic times in Europe. All across Europe, people believe in reincarnation. All across India and Asia, people believe in reincarnation. Almost all the people of the world believed this way, and used the Lunar Calendar. The White people in Europe were mostly Celts, or Celt like groups with similar beliefs. They believed in a similar pantheon of Gods like Hindus, and believed in in reincarnation like Hindus, used the Lunar Calendar like Hindus, used only an oral tradition, followed Druids who were nearly exactly like Brahmins in duty, knowledge, etc., and basically, the ancient people's of Europe were very similar to Hindus in many ways. That was a meer 50 of my age ago. Strange huh? Just line 50 of me up in a row, and you're back in ancient, organic, druidic, celtic, non-christian, non-latin, oral only, Europe. Whoa. Now when you try to tell these people about reincarnation, the Celt's descendents that is, which is alot of the white people, often they think it to be a "foreign idea". Hmmm. Interesting how the foreign idea became their norm, they forgot. In 2000 years. The first monasteries of Ireland, filled with Druids were vegetarian, indicating Druidic tendencies in that direction, meaning, the most knowledgeable Celts preferred vegetarianism for purposes of spiritual life, which was their interest. Your ancient priests were vegetarians! They painted the ancient Celtic art into manusacripts still present in Dublin. In those, we can see the wheels...many of them...with a repeating pattern of 3. Three is such an important number in the Celtic world, being the basic beat of the music, as well as repeated throughout all their artwork. The spiraling sets of 3 spirals in a spiral looks an awfully lot like an Om symbol. In my crude understanding, perhaps solely my own invention, but in any case, in my understanding, the Om is like an egg that split open and released a child. Three is the representation therefore of expansion. Expansion is Stree, or female, and 3, the basis of pi, the unresolvable, is representative of femaninity, as in the Laksmi Trikonas of Vedic Astrology. Celtism is Vedic, and expansive in that way. It was in touch with Earth completely, and completely accepting of the cycle of life and death, fate, astrology, reincarnation, the superiority of memory, the necessity for the warrior class to follow the knowledge class, and so on. It was a feminine culture. As is Vedic culture. They are essentially focused on goodness, softness, the wonder of God everywhere, the spirit in all things, the spirits of nature, the personalities present in all natural phenomena, the interrelationship of soul to nature and to gods and the supreme god, and of eteranl abodes of pleasure. The essence of Wicca and Druidism is extremely soft and spiritual, not harsh and vulgar. To call a society based on Druidism as "Barbaric" is itself Barbaric. A hindu would never have called Druids or Celts "Barbarians". No way. They were so similar. The statue of the great Celt warrior Vercingetorix looks EXACTLY like any statue of Arjuna minus his helmet. And Vercingetorix wore one, in battle, but not during off time. Why? I bet Arjuna did not either. The long hair, the mustache, the clothing even, all the same. The artwork, presence of Swastika everywhere, such as on the ancient "Batterseas Shield" which was found in the Thames river in London in recent centuries. It bears Swastikas. Clearly. Very clearly. And that was clearly a celebratory, sacrificial shield some King probably placed in the river during ceremony, much like other cultures place things on rivers during ceremonies. It was an offering. A valueable beautiful military shield, bearing swastikas of metalwork and inlay, placed in the river in London by a King 3000 years ago or so. There are paintings in England, I have seen myself, of Kings of ancient England wearing Tilak quite clearly... that's that symbol that Indian's put on their foreheads- the lines going up in this case, as in Vaisnava tilak. Clearly it is painted into one painting in a long row I was examining with some other British Hindu friends in 1984 in London. In the Greek or Roman writings, there is even speculation that Pythagorus and Celtic Druids had connections to Brahmins. That they wrote directly using those words. They spoke of how similar it seemed, how it seemed like Brahmin type knowledge that Pythagorus and the Druids seemed to possess. Indeed, I have a book, here with me in Eugene, that shows the zodiac and other Solar seasonal marking related markings in Ireland which are 5,500 years old at least according to archaeologists. And stonehenge is like 15,000 years old, and it's astronomically related in a correct way. So it's not surprising that other cultures, near to Southern Europe, who met up with Ancient Celts, and who also knew of India, as we know, because it's written about in Indian books as well, so we know there was a Greece-India connection, and so it's no surprise that these authors then and in later Rome compared the Druids to Brahmins and so on. This speculation is not mine, rather, Julius Caesar made it, as did many other since his time 2000 years ago. I'm wearing this gold metal Cetlic neck tork right at this moment. I wear it alot these days. It's not real comfortable. After all, it's a number of ounces of solid metal. However, it reminds me of Tulasi neck beads, which Vaisnava Hindus wear, and I used to wear, to symbolize slavery to Vishnu. I bet the tork is similar, but you see, I'm not sure, cuzz I don't know the first and most basic things about my ancestors culture, because my parents didn't mention it, at all, and neither did the schools, which oddly in my neighborhood, were mostly a mixture of Italian kids, and Irish kids. With the stuff going down in the Church, maybe it's time for all the Priests to become Druids, at least then they could have sex without having to do it with children, hide it, lie about it, etc. They'd also get a tork, instead of a "Roman Colar". They'd be tied to Spirit, not Rome, the Moon, not the Sun, the reflection of power, not power itself, the worshipper, not god, the feminine, not the masculine. And the Earth, will take a deep breath, sigh, and then laugh outloud. Peace Part 2 The shock of seeing Celtic warriors and their particularly odd practices is what sparked all the name calling moreso than anything. Certainly it was not the finer aspects of High Celtic Culture that are Barbaric. Anyone would be challenged to reproduce Celtic Artwork, Herbalism, Metalwork, Invention, Astrology, Astronomy, and so forth. They were a formidable foe to Rome. It was only through trickery of a type Celts would never think of, that they were at last brought down on a military basis by Rome in France in 52 BC. And it was not Rome's control over Europe, for they allowed Celts to be Celts just as they allowed Jews to be Jews. But it was the influx of Christianity, that did the actual damage. Read Paul's letter to the Galatians, a part of Spain that was Celtic, and you'll see the mood. He treads a little lightly, when he mentions not worshipping the "God's of nature", meaning the God's the Celt's worshipped, who were NOT just God's of nature, that is a misunderstanding from distant perception alone. Anyway, in that letter, the mood of disrespect towards Druidism is evident, and somehow, over time, Christianity won, and now, the religious practices of our ancestors (those many of us who are Celtic), are now considered by us ourselves to be "Witchcraft". Actually, most of us know nothing at all about Druids or Wicca, which I would just prefer to call more correctly as Druidism. Anyway, much like a cross between American Indian Shamans and Hindu Brahmins, Druids were the priests of the Celts, and it was serious business, not light. There was alot of knowledge. It's attested to by the Roman and Greek authors at least indirectly in their references to 'what the Druids know'. In fact, the odd practices of the soldiers were due to the strong hold the Druidic knowledge had over all Celts throughout Gaul in the time they first encountered and eventually fell to Rome. The writings of Caesar and others make all of this clear. So just over 2000 years ago, Hinduism would have been very easy to teach in Europe, because they already believed it. They would just go, "oh, you call him Budha, we call him Lugh" (in both cases, it's Mercury) Because Celtic belief is ancient and like India's Vedic religion, it is of course incompatible directly with Christianities need to eliminate reincarnation, the Gods, and really everything, leaving only Christ and parts of Judaism. The Roman's prevented new Druid's from being made, and Christian preachers somehow in combination with Roman rule converted everyone gradually. It's interesting that Muslim's were able to do this in India as well. I think sometimes that oppressive rule, since it gives the oppressor the control over things like schools, roads, government, money, food, trade, and so forth, it allows them, and their religion, to more easily spread to the the children, and gradually therefore, the entire race. I for example, cannot alone, teach my children Hinduism as well as I could if their school was also Hindu, but it's American public, so it has no religion. I just cruised channels for a few minutes. I saw a "Crib Show" on MTV for a few minutes. This is where they show some famous Rock Star or Starlette's home in Hollywood or whatever. It's a tour of a famous persons home, given by the famous person themselves. So I saw this young girl. I don't know who she was. Some made singer. She was 21. In the tour of her home, there was nothing in the refrigerator but beer. Nothing in the entertainment room but a huge TV and video games, and nothing else in the house worth mentioning at all that was at all cultural or intelligent in any way. She was an idiot. It was evident in her abode. The way she talked too, was completely the normal expected LA plastic tone. She also had on the low cut hip hugger painted on pants. The degraded Venus vibe was everywhere. This is what most American kids are learning to worship these days. Kids like Britney Spears are the "Pop Idols". Contrast that with the sixties and seventies. At least in my mind, I listened to bands that sang usually about something... usually something socially conscious, or meaningful at least. They were also dressed in such a way that was actually rebellious or hip. I don't remember sexuality entering it as overtly as it has now. Now you have Hollywood selling little girls on MTV. The so called "Pop Stars" today don't know music at all, and aren't rebels, don't preach, have barely graduated from high school, and haven't been anywhere, and in many cases, their parents sign their contracts. This is not what I grew up with at all. It's definitely gotten much worse. So take a look at the beliefs and traditions you are passing on. It wasn't long ago that many White people had alot more faith, religion, culture, and village than they do now. Music, dancing, drama, storytelling, were the evening affairs. The serious went off to monastery to be Druids. The martial were warrior caste, and so on. Quite natural. And this was THEIR culture, their very own. It was highly defensible, decent, intelligent, deep, it worked, it spread, it grew, survived, and was slaughtered and squeezed out successfully by an invading Super Power (Rome) and it's chosen religion later, Christianity, except in Scotland, Ireland, and a few other small places. And in these places, just traces and old stuff survives. It's dieing out rapidly. I saw a picture from Scotland, and this might remind you of "Braveheart". Remember the blue paint on the actor's face? That's right. They painted themselves all blue, and then put patterns in other colors. This blue is like Durga, Shiva, Krishna. The warriors sometimes carried tridents. They looked like shiva. Sometimes they had dreadlocks, braids, and other crown like head ornaments, neck ornaments, etc. The warriors were expert at throwing spears, shooting arrows, and fighting with swords and shields, using maces, and wrestling. This is so similar to the Vedic style. They also used Vedic like chariots, which were not used by other cultures surrounding them. The artwork is particularly Eastern, as is the music. The music is most like Chinese and Indian overall. If you listen to Scottish music, not modern bagpipe marches, but the older stuff, and you hear the Bhodran (their drum), it sounds like Tablas, It goes up and down just like tabla, and mridanga, etc., with the same quick beats, similar, and the slick mellow sound, very similar. Bagpipe, violin, pennywhistle Celtic melodies, are complex, odd, longer, not shaped like what we're used to, that don't go in sets of even phrases of four like we're so used to in Roman and German music. The primary invaders of Celtic lands to bring us up to date were Roman and Germanic. The Germanic invaders included the often refferred to Anglos and Saxxons, two Germanic tribes, not Celts. They came later to England for example, and merged into the people there in the Southern region, where London is for example. In the North, Scotland, it remained Celtic, as it has to this day in some places where they still speak Gaelic and so on. Still there, Christianity has taken over long ago, but the culture is still highly Celtic, and it's there you can find traces of things that can still be brought out to light more and more. Anyway, we are most aware of Germanic music and Italian music. Most classical music and operas were either German or Italian. Italians brought the alphabet we use, as well as a great deal of the words, and the Germans brought the balance, and there is other sources. But the Italians and Christians, converted Jews, brought Christianity outside of the Jewish Roman area, to other others, North, into Europe. Germans under this new teaching brought it to other parts of Europe including Ireland and somehow converted everyone gradually. That's another story. The downfall of the ancient high cultures was going on all over the world. It's a part of Kali Yuga. Just as I've been interested in India, and have learned so much there, I'm happy to be finding very interesting material right back at home in the ancient backyard, which agrees with what I learned in India. How convenient! I love Cross Platform programs, like Goravani Jyotish, and cross platform philosophies, like reincarnation and varna ashram dharma driven by astrology and brahmins/druids who really devote, and really care, and really lead. I think it might help the West to take a real good look backwards with a favorable eye instead of one tainted with what you were told to think by people who long ago, very long ago, had a reason to hate your ancestors. Now ALMOST EVERYBODY has forgotten what went down. But it behooves some of us to care, for in doing so, we may find more meaning in our own lives, more understanding for who we are and where we came from as a people. As Bob Marley said, we can also follow: "We know where we're going, and we know where we're from" Like the main key says: RETURN To an organic, godly, earth friendly, loving, life. Merry shall ye meet, and merry shall ye part. I part, merrily. -- Das Goravani , President 2852 Willamette St, #353 Eugene, Oregon, 97405 USA Voice: or <> Home of "Goravani Jyotish" Vedic Astrology Software , and more...
