Guest guest
MY WEB PAGE http://www11.brinkster.com/astrodev/index.htm Dear Friends and students of astrology. This post is to let you know that my Web site is out, although still in construction, the May Astro calendar can be seen already. You can print it and hang from the wall. It looks nice and it is very handy to look every day. My friend Mike, the computer wizard that is building up this Web, told me that only the Office programme could print that calendar. Although yesterday, we put the Moon calendar for Cancer rasi and Pushya naksatra as a guide to other signs-naksatras to follow, and another Moon calendar with the Tara Balas and Chandra balas blank, for the other 35 calendars to be filled up by those signs. They still cannot be seen because we need to put the links to them, but that will be done soon. There are other 9 tables on Microsoft Excel, to calculate all the antaras or sub-sub-planetary periods, the bukti or sub periods and the dasas or main periods. However, I have still to write down how to use those tables. Basically, you follow these instructions: You can erase these instructions before printing. On E1 write your Date of Birth (dd-mm-yyyy). On D16 write the Date of the beginning of your main planetary periods. On E3 you should get the end of your first planetary period. The Web site is going to increase in size soon with some other interesting information. Any suggestions or questions are welcome. I have a backlog of emails to answer due to my work on this Web, but they all will be answered this week. You can now find my web site by connecting to the web address given above. I hope that you can find a good use of this Web site. Best wishes, Natabara Das

Guest guest
Dear Pritesh you <<I am pritesh here, from India, by profession, software professional.>> me Nice to see your location and profession. That helps me when i write my postings, because i do take all that into consideration. Most of the times, my postings are intended for everyone to read and think. The Internet is a great media to reach all parts of the world, and it looks like if is going to be extended soon, unless the "baddies" put the plug out. We have to wait and see what our collective karma says. I am here in England at present. you <<Very first, I congratulate you on launching website, it is good concept for sharing knowledge. I really appreciate that.>> me Many thanks. My concept of an astrological web site was born when i was in hospital a year ago. I thought that once i die i would like to leave behind some steps towards Vedic astrology knowledge, for others to take and expand later on. There is a beautiful poem written by an Aztec king. Aztecs are more known for the barbaric human sacrifices that some of their leaders did. However, many Aztecs were and still are artists. I knew a family of Aztecs living just outside Mexico City in 1968, they were making a living by cultivating flowers and selling their pottery and flowers. King Nezahualcoyotl wrote a poem that goes like this: "Nothing i should leave in this world once i die? I should leave at least flowers at least songs" So i thought to leave the web behind once i die, because i am not a songwriter or an agricultor. you <<Also I have seen, that whatever you are sharing, is with a depth,>> me Thank you. I am just trying to share the depth of knowledge that my teachers have giving me. you << I love your readings on glist group>> me Thank you very much, any suggestions or criticism are welcome so that i can improve my postings. you <<Are you an astrologer by profession ?>> me Yes, Vedic astrology is my hobby and my profession, although at present i am somehow "retired" due to been recovering from a bad purva punya. you <<Since last year, somehow I am getting more interest in astrology and learning it, but could not find any right way, thought glist discussion helps lot. I am thinking to buy some bestseller books, for going in depth. Kindly suggest>> me When i did start to study Vedic astrology in 1976, there were no books written by Western astrologers. My interaction with the Vaisnava culture, which is based on Indian thought did help to understand the mentality of Indian authors. Little by little, some born Western Vedic astrologers started to write books sharing their knowledge. But one thing is to grasp a concept and another thing is to write it in a way that other people are going to understand. Both paths are difficult. The best thing that any student can do, is to learn to use their intuition. Intuition is the essence in any astrologer. It is subtler than the mind or the intellect. Sharp your intuition, and your intuition will lead you to the best source of knowledge and learn the best that you are ready to learn. Read as many books as you can, and your own nature will lead you to your destined department of knowledge. In the beginning it is necessary to learn the ABC of Vedic astrology, but later on you will start to divert according to your own nature, to different branches of knowledge. In a near future we will have Vedic astrologers experts in agriculture, architecture, medicine, music, meteorology, etc. For computer wizards like yourself, there is going to be plenty work on the fields of Vedic astrology. Once i did see while surfing, a web site from a Vedic astrologer in Hawaii that compiled the names of more than 10,000 books on Vedic astrology. There is much to learn and our intuition will lead us to our destination. you <<On website, left side link fonts, are not readable, properly.>> me I have already forwarded your observation to Mike. Mike is the computer wizard designing the web site. I am only composing the information. We are always thinking in how to improve the web presentation and its contents. And many thanks for your observation, we will do something about it. I do want to take advantage of my present position to post as much as possible. In my limited position, seating in front of the computer or in front of the TV, i can write about my ideas gathered in the previous years, or i can watch interesting TV programmes and take notes about them for further references. Next year i will not be able to do this because i will move to other activities. But i will leave the seeds behind.
