Greetings, dear members,

my first version of this letter disappeared in land - here one more

time....:)

yes, the idea of a conception chart is intriguing. I did play around with my

data and got a puzzling result.

Trusting the GJ program given fact, that average pregnancy is 273 days - i

entered suggested day of conception.

My mother told me, that i was conceived in a rowboat:) - i reasoned therefore

that early evening on a balmy summerday might have been a good time for close

intimacy.

Amazing. Libra lagna, Moon degrees are fairly close. How can that be? Lucky

guess? Coincidence? Wishful faulty thinking?

Besides the spiritual aspect, there is for sure some astronomical

explanation, why lagna and moon are in same (close) position after nine month

- but my brain is simply not big enough to even attempt figuring that one out.

CONCEPTION CHART - Libra lagna 22 deg - Moon 3 deg.

PHYSICAL BIRTH CHART - Libra lagna 21 deg. - Moon 8 deg.

Lat. 52 N 27, Long. 13 E 19

I hope, i didnt make a complete fool out of myself by presenting the case.

Thank you Vivek, for bringing the topic up - i always wanted to know, but was

too afraid to ask:)

Tidbit for Cynthia - I do have VE/KE conjunction - and did get married in

KETU main dasha - not with the very best results:)

Blessings to all,

Sabine

Dear Vivek,

Yeah, I'd say you pretty much said that, all right...see your letters below

to confirm this..Or did I miss something?

(What I'm saying isn't an attack, dear. Just my Virgo busy-body detail

orientation. Absolutely no big thing, here.)..

I think unless one is using in vitro fertilization, or some sort of camera

to really see conception--and there is more than one definition of

conception--some doctors say when egg and sperm converge, others when the

fertilized egg is implanted in the uterus is veiwed as conception..Well, let

me clarify that--doctors have a different view on when pregnancy occurs--the

fertilized egg view, vs the implantation view, I should say.

Any way we look at it, it's really difficult to verify this hypothesis

concerning moon position and lagna.. Also this hypothesis doesn't take into

account ceasarian births, especially those done for the doctor's convience.

Or accidents to the mother late in pregnancy. There are just all kinds of

variations on the 280 day average before the mother's confinement and the

baby's birth.....and 280 days is 40 weeks which yes, is considered pretty

darn typical and average for normal gestation of human children.

It wouldn't surprize me if in general this hypothesis would work however, as

the Moon stays in a sign for two and half days, so there's a fair sized

window, there, in normal births, isn't there?

Goravani Jyotish has a part of the program that gives the estimated

conception date based on birth date...easy enough to take one of those and

look up the panchang for that date and check the Moon, right? I guess you

could talk to a couple of thousand pairs of parents about possible

conception dates of their children and see if it correlates and decide from

there is it statistically significant......

God, I'm getting hyper-analytical, and Mercury hasn't even gone retro yet.

Geez.

Have a great time with the stats research to your question, dear. It'll be

interesting to see what your research on this question shows..

Truly Best Wishes,

Denise

VIVEK WROTE:

Did I say that birth is exactly so many days from conception? I

don't remember writing anything like that.

Please read my message again and try to understand what exactly I

meant.---vivek.

Dear Vivek -

As with all theories which are "all-or-nothing", it would take just one

instance to disprove the theory that the chandra lagna is the lagna at

conception. Here is one way this can be done. Take the case of identical

twins, who are conceived by the single fertilization of a single egg.

Typically identical twins are not born simultaneously - sometimes minutes

apart. If one can come up with just one instance where a pair of identical

twins are born under two different Chandra Lagnas, such as when the Moon

changes sign, your theory will be disproved.

Just a suggestion.

Regards,

Charles

Dear list members,

I have heard that the position of the moon in the birth chart is the lagna

at the time of conception---is it true? can the time of conception be

calculated?--if so,what would be the significance of the conception chart?

best regards,

vivek.
