Dear Fellow Jyotishas,

Dandavat and Hare Krishna.

With a heavy heart, I beg to inform you that the second son of Shri C S

Nagendra, a devotee and major donor of Sri Radha Krishna Chandra temple,

Bangalore has passed away. This boy was aged 8 years and 7 days on that day.

The Bhagavad Gita, 8th chapter, 24th verse has this:

agnir jyotir ahah suklah

san masa uttarayanam

tatra prayata gacchanti

brahma brahma vido janah

"Those who know the Supreme Brahman attain that Supreme by passing away from the

world during the influence of the fiery god, in the light, at an auspicious

moment of the day, during the fortnight of the waxing moon, or during the six

months when the sun travels in the north."

He passed away on April 30, 2002 at 3.25PM at Bangalore. Consider the following:

IT was Uttarayana san masa

IT was Daytime

IT was summer and hence the influence of the fiery Sun god was very much there!

IT was in the light.

IT was when Moon has Paksha Bala (According to Jyotisha principles, 6th day of

waxing moon to 6th day of waning moon, the Moon has Paksha Bala!) On this day,

the Rahu Kalam starts at 3.25 PM. But at 3.23 PM, the lagna was Kanya and Guru

Graha was in 10th house (Kendra). This is considered to be very auspicious.

According to Jyotisha principles and according to Muhurtha Darpana and Muhurtha

Deepika, the following is the result of Guru being in a Kendra position:

Shukrah pancha sahasraani budaha pancha shatani cha

lakshamekam doshanam guruhu kendre vyapohati

If Venus (shukra) is in kendra sthana 5000 doshas are eliminated; if Mercury

(Budha) is found in kendra sthana 500 doshas are eliminated and if Jupiter

(Guru) is in Kendra, then one lakh doshas, present at that particular time is

eliminated!

Okay. Ignore the above, but consider the following:

Thoug very weak, sat on his father's lap and heard the 16 rounds of Hare Krishna

maha mantra being chanted by his father at 4.30 AM in the morning This chanting

was interrupted by the boy, every 3 rounds - only to hear 30 verses of Sri

Narasimha Kavacham from Brahmanda purana!

He asked for and drank water from Radha Kunda and Syama Kunda.

He asked for and ate mud from Madhuban.

He felt severe pains and therefore he was taken by his fortunate parents to Manipal Hospital.

Enroute he asked for Sri Narasimha Kavacham to be chanted - everybody chanted it for his pleasure.

He specifically asked for Damodara Ashtaka tape to be played in the car's stereo

And he passed away amidst this opulence - the time was 3.25 PM.

He was declared dead on arrival by the hospital authorities.

Great Fortune Indeed!!!

I do not know whether I will be able to get this type of good fortune. He was

very attached to me. And sometimes he would ask his father to bring him to my

house - but he would just sit and not utter a word! The boy suffered from

Kidney problems for about 5 years very gracefully!!

I had the good fortune of reciting many prayers and discuss the above verse with

his family and friends. I had the good fortune of arranging for his funeral.

Tommorrow we are proceeding to the holy town of Srirangapatna, to immerse his

ashes and bones in Paschima Vahini - a tributary of River Cauvery!

Jaya Sri Radha Krishna Chandra for Their unlimited mercies.

Jaya Srila Prabhupada who created this opportunity for this boy to pass away in

this glorious manner.

Thanks for giving your valuable time.

Your servant,

Sheetalanga Gauranga Dasa
