Guest guest
Thank you for the advice. I'll cetainly pass it on. The native is thirty something but very immature and childlike. She also has a voice that sounds very much like a little girl. Is this because of Mercury's (being the 8th & 11th lord) aspect on the 2nd house? The 2nd house could account for the voice but how do one explain the behaviour? She's been living in the brother's house until 3 months ago when she moved into her own place but has since moved back to her brother's house almost permanently again. She doesn't lift a finger to help with the housework nor does she contribute a cent although she's earning a comparatively high salary. The sister-in-law doesn't voice her displeasure as the native's mother also stays with them and in Asian society, we respect our elders. I think her mother thoroughly spoils her hence the inconsiderate personality. 4th house aspected by benefic ascendant lord Mars and Jupiter?? Is there a Gajakesari yoga? Is a conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter in the 12th house considered a Gajakesari yoga? Are people with Scorpio lagna easily abusive in speech? I know of her and one other who are real "stingers'. Is i this because of the Saggitarian frankness of the 2nd house or the inherent characteristics of Scorpios. This native has Mars aspecting the lagna which could account for the hot temper too??? Guest guest
Dear Sonia I have often found people born under Anuradha nakshatra child like .They seem to want the world to do everything for them .Most yogas don't work so well out of dusthanas .I would have said that she would have some attraction for dharma but then I noticed that the ascendent lord is in the 8th so I don't really think this will be found in the native .Moon is weakened by 12th house placement and the 4th house is weakened by Rahu's placement near the equal house cusp ..Scorpio can be quite selfish .They don't make them without some sting ..Sagittarius ruling the second would make them frank in speech and they do seem to delight in abusing even their friends and relatives . The ruler Mars is not a high class character ,the 8th position is the most dreaded assocaited with irreligion, the symbol is the Scorpion again not a revered creature .Scorpio is the debiliitation sign of the Moon but no major planet finds it's exaltation here .So all in all Scorpions have the reputation for having the worst charcacter . I haven't even mentioned their other "virtue" being their love of deception . BTW where are you living ? Guest guest
You are somewhat right in thinking about dharma and religion. The native is quite taken up with Buddhism. She is conversant on the scriptures and performs the rituals on religious occasions but I somehow do not understand why the practice has not filtered out into everyday life (Guru tainted by its dispositor being in the 8th?). I had to look up the significations of Anuradha in my notes as I have yet to find space for the Nakshatras in my little brain. Anyway, I think the lotus is still buried under the water and has not found its way through ! I just remembered that Jupiter is retrograde. Shouldn't that help as it is placed in a dusthana? I'm in Malaysia. What about you? Regards Sonia P/S With all due respect to any 'SCORPIOs' present, I like your sign-off. Guest guest
Dear Sonia LOL For Scorpios the Lagna Lord (lord of self) is debilitated in the 9th (house of dhartma) .Scorpio is a brahminical sign giving them strong inclination towards dharma but often they do not deeply absorb their dharma into their lives . Note also that all the trine Lords the Lords of dharma are in hidden houses .This is another factor for a quiet display of religion . The strong 8th and 12th house influence in the chart can indicate an attraction for a more renounced type of dharma rather than devotional or fruitive . Jupiter's retrogression will give strength but will not overcome the effect of being in the 8th .I live in Australia and have quite a few Malaysian friends . Cheers Nicholas sonia tanganchi gjlist Sunday, March 31, 2002 12:16 AM Re: [GJ] 'Scorpions' and Gajakesari yoga... Hi Nicholas You are somewhat right in thinking about dharma and religion.
