Nature of the sadripus

Dear Pearl

Many thanks for posting about the sadripus. It is very nice to read about the

views of 2 great teachers like Sanjay Rath and Narishima Rao.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I do understand from that posting that Moha is

represented by Ketu? I thought that it was Rahu.

"MOHA is attraction without logical thinking. Like a man 'falling for' a

beautiful woman. This is what I call really 'headless attitude' and it can

happen to all of us. Thus, Ketu the headless can cause this and also bring

about marriage. For example, during the Narayana Dasa of Dhanuvad Ketu I got

married. Many were shocked that one like me got married (So was I !!!). perhaps

Moha as I found everything so perfect then..as if I had found a soul

mate..that's Moha. there is no place for logic or thinking out here - no brain

work at all. "

"MOHA may also be translated differently based on contemporary usage, but the

original meaning was delusion. The root verb "muh" means "to be confused, to be

deluded, to mistake something for something else". Moha may refer to falling

prey to the delusions of material existence. Much narrower translations are

certainly possible, but "delusion" is the basic meaning."

Well, I would like to post about certain lessons that my teachers have showing me.

This is the way that I understand. Take the example of a person A, that falls

madly in love with person B. When person A is dying, his mind will have the

desire to be with person B to the point that person A reincarnates again to

satisfy that desire. Person A is born again (Not born again Christian, but born

again) and eventually, once his age is right, starts to search for person B

again. Person A has imprinted in his mind the external looks of person B, I

would say the rising sign representing the external body of B.

But because person A has a certain bad karma to sort out, he/she searches and

searches among his/her environment without a positive result. Finally, the

search is finish because person A has found what it looks like person B.

But because of karma, person B is not really person B but person C look alike

person B. Because A has some debt to pay from previous life to C, A suffers at

the hands of C and C takes A to the "cleaners".

"A" suffers a lot but eventually pays all the due debt to C (even with

interests) and becomes free from C. Now A is free to find B if he/she still is

ready to play, or in other words if he/she is still obsessed by B.

Like Narishima says. "The root verb "muh" means "to be confused, to be deluded,

to mistake something for something else". Indeed, person A has been confused,

deluded.

And " Moha may refer to falling prey to the delusions of material existence".

According to karma, we are likely to fall prey to any delusion coming out of

any of the trends indicated by the 12th houses.

The fact that we have got a horoscope, means that we are born in this material

existence. Therefore, the less contaminated we are by it, the less we will be

deluded.

If "A" has a better karma, he/she will meet "B" again and together they will

advance towards higher planes of existence.

One of the problems is how to recognise the right partner, the wrong one may

take us to hell, and the right one may help us to go to heaven.

Who knows if our present partner is just helping us to learn our lessons or if

we are just paying our karmic debts. Therefore, we should see that even our

enemies are here to help us to go higher. Of course, we only can see this from

the absolute or higher planes.

In eternity, we have been here more than once, playing sometimes the right card

and other times the wrong card. Vedic astrology helps a lot to understand that

our present is a continuity of our past.

Of course we should not be fanatical about reincarnation. I am very suspicious

of someone telling me "Oh, I remember that I was Cleopatra and you were Marco

Anthony", they should do better than that because I will not believe them. The

right information comes down to us in a more beautiful way that that. How is

that done? Wait and see.
