Mayapur March 15th 2002.

 

IT IS VERY SAD FOR ME TO REPORT TO ALL OF YOU THIS VERY SAD NEWS. I just gota

call from few devotees telling me that HH Tamal Krishna Goswami passedaway due

to car accident going to Calcutta Airport, He was unconscious butfinally passed

away in the hospital as it was reported by one devotee, sincecommunication is

very bad now.

 

Before yesterday HH Tamal Krishna Maharaja was talking about his experienceswith

Srila Prabhupada and other devotees on the main stage in the

festivalinauguration program and after that He excused himself due to

healthproblems, so we have to assume that his body was little weak and could

nottolerate the shock of the accident, he also was telling these stories

alongwith other senior devotees who were present in 1972 like HH

JayapatakaMaharaja, Lokanath Maharaja and Brahmananda prabhu, and it so

unfortunatefor us to lose the physical presence of such a dear devotee and

personalassociate and secretary of HDG Srila Prabhupada.

 

We all pray to the lord to have him in his eternal abode as He havededicated all

his life to serve His Gurumaharaja HDG AC Bhaktivedanta SwamiPrabhupada and to

spread Krishna Consciousness all over the world.

 

The accident happened one hour away from Mayapur in an area called Fulia andat

5:15 am and was taken to a Hospital in Ranaghat (between Krishna nagarand

Calcutta).

 

In few hours the body of HH Tamal Krishna Maharaja will be brought back

toMayapur after clearing with the legal formalities in the hospital.

 

The were another car traveling behind the main car and devotees

immediatelyreported to us in Mayapur and HH Jayapataka Maharaja immediately

went to theHospital at 5:30 am and other 3 cars went taking Their Holinesses

SivaramaMaharaja, RAdhanath Maharaja, Jayadwaita maharaja, BV Govinda Maharaja

andNiranjana Swami.

 

Three other devotees were in the car with HH Tamal Krishna Goswami, who

areAghabid das (In charge of the ISKCON youth group in Calcutta) who is in

avery dangerous situation and just now at 8:00 am I got the information thathe

has to be taken to Hospital in Calcutta along with Vrndavaneswari dd whois in

coma, She is the wife of Kalasundara Prabhu temple President in NewZealand who

also was traveling in the same car (Tata Sumo) but is safe.

We request all the devotees around the world to pray for HH Tamal KrishnaGoswami

and May Lord Nrishimhadeva protect HIM and Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhubless him and

take him to His eternal abode.

 

His disciples here in Mayapur are chanting along with other deovtees andpraying

for their Beloved Gurumaharaja,
