Hi,

I am a novice at astrology and have been reading

emails in this groups with interest. And since I have

a religious Hindu background in India as well as a

mathematical educational background and a career in

computers , I do understand most of the stuff very

easily.

 

I have been using this birth date and time and place

as a sample for my study.

19th July 1974, 06:36 AM at Madras, TamilNadu

Ascendant is in CANCER.

Some observations: Can anyone explain what is the

significance here?

 

Ascendant is in CANCER.

Moon, Mercury, Venus and Saturn all in Gemini (XIIth

house) - Is it good or bad?

Jupiter aspecting Gemini with 5th house aspect.

Mars in 2nd house aspecting its own house (Scorpio)

with 4th house aspect.

Jupiter and Mars aspecting each other by 7th house

aspect.

Jupiter in Retrograde movement.

Moon in combustion with sun

 

 

Also, One thing that confuses me is the calculation of

Dasa periods.

By the Lahiri Method, the subject is right now

finishing Saturn Dasa and moving to Mercury Dasa (in

May) as the balance of Jupiter Dasa was 8Y10M00 while

by BVRaman’s method, it is 07Y 01M 06D., so the

Mercury Dasa should have started in August 2000. Which

one is the correct one?

 

Also, the subject is eager to get married and is

wondering whether the change of the Dasa would be good

for her and when she will get married.

 

Please give me any inputs on this.
