Guest guest
I have read of the healing properties of castor oil, the oil of the castor bean plant. This inexpensive oil has been found to be an excellent emollient (skin smoother) as well as being effective in small dosages (1 teaspoonful) as a lubricant for the intestinal tract that helps rid the body of toxic buildup in the upper and lower colon. Edgar Cayce said that healing comes about when the body is attuned to healing vibrations, whether this attunement is brought about through the use of medicine, surgery, or spiritual practice; different bodies may require different ways to attain the same healing that is available to all. Cayce also recommended use of the castor oil pack to alleviate a variety of ailments. I suggest that this castor oil pack may be applied for anyone suffering from internal organ disorders as well as skin disorders. A small flannel cloth (either wool flannel or cotton flannel cloth) is saturated with castor oil (available at pharmacies in 8 oz. bottle at nominal cost) and then gently wrung out so the oil does not get too messy. This pack is then applied to the abdominal area and is covered with a plastic barrier (food wrap is okay to use) and a heating pad or hot water bottle is placed on top of the plastic, to gently heat the oil for its better absorption through the skin. Castor oil is non-greasy. It is readily absorbed by thirsty skin. A lady at my workplace has had severe problem with hives--so sever she's lost time at work, so last Friday I brought her some castor oil which she applied to her hands--and within a few hours, the hives on her hands were gone. She liked the smooth non-greasy feel of her skin aftter using the castor oil and said she will buy a bottle and try the heated pack. I didn't know this would help her, but I'm happy it gave her fast results already. Castor bean plant has the Latin name, "Palma Christi". This attests to long-known healing properties of its oil. The abdominal packs have been found to calm hyperactive children as well as to heal a wide range of maladies, including cancers in some cases. (Read the book by Dr. William A. McGarey entitled, "The Oil That Heals".) See this webpage for more information: http://www.holistic-nutrition.com/Castoroil.htm I merely pass this information along for anyone who would like to apply a calming oil to a troubled bodily condition. I hope it would be helpful to you, too. Best to all, Carol
