Guest guest
hello members, i have read in a lot of articles that the 12th house is a dusthana - a malefic house, which deals with solitude, confinement etc. so what would be the effect of having many planets in the 12th house. I have Sun, Mercury and Saturn in the 12th house (Leo ascendant). What are the results of such a combination. Regards, Mahesh Sports - Coverage of the 2002 Olympic Games http://sports. Guest guest
Namaste Karo, 6,8,12th are dusthanas. 12th is a house of loss, limitation, expenditures and also of liberation and enlightenment. It is also a house of secrets and passion. Each house has positive and negative side. Several planets in a house usually indicates shows the native's predispotion or tendancies toward the meaning of that house and sometimes treated like another lagna. The Sun there can mean a loss of self confidence or a poor reputation and on positive notes self denial, solitude and orientation toward spiritual enlightenment. Mercury, indicator of wealth ruling 2nd and 11th, dhana yoga karaka in the house of loss is not good materially but good for spirituality. Saturn there causes worry or weakness of the nerves or on positive side deep solitude and contemplation. Look to where the Moon is, the lord of that house. Many spiritualy disposed people have strong 12th. To help with finance you might want to strengthen Mercury. Guest guest
To Karo Maja: Ascendant ruler in the 12th can make you deeply compassionate, perhaps even give an harmed self-image when approaching the material outer world. Sun and Saturn together can result in a spiritual seeker dedicated to gaining the experience of enlightenment, you want practical experience here, not unapplied book learning.. Mercury as ruler of 11th in the 12th may give opportunities for spiritual advancement. Specifics, such as whether (or when) you might be troubled by thieves or if you might experience incarceration (or confine yourself to an ashram) would, of course, require looking carefully at your entire chart. I should think that you would be overly concerned with escaping time. - Nicholas <jyotish108 <gjlist> Monday, February 18, 2002 4:24 PM Re: [GJ] Effect of many planets in the 12th house > Dear Mahesh > Generally it is not so good materially speaking but it can activate the > search for moksha . > Nicholas > - > "Karo Maja" <maja_karo > <gjlist> > Tuesday, February 19, 2002 6:03 AM > [GJ] Effect of many planets in the 12th house > > > > hello members, > > i have read in a lot of articles that the 12th house > > is a dusthana - a malefic house, which deals with > > solitude, confinement etc. so what would be the effect > > of having many planets in the 12th house. Guest guest
Hi Nicholas, Thanks for your reply I have read that the 12th house is also the house of foreign residence. Most books refer to this house as the house of solitude, incarceration etc. Since Jyotish is an ancient science and in those days anybody who went away from home (to distant places) was usually exiled (solitude) or imprisoned (incarceration). Is this the reason for this interpretation. -- Just a thought. Thanks once again. gjlist, "Robert Riley" <rriley@o...> wrote: > To Karo Maja: > > Ascendant ruler in the 12th can make you deeply compassionate, perhaps even > give an harmed self-image when approaching the material outer world. Guest guest
Hi Hari, I have moon in the 11th house, the house of gains. There is an exchange between the lords of the 11th and 12th house. What does that mean? Guest guest
Namaste Mahesh, Is the Moon waxing or waning? Is the Moon conjunct or aspected by any planets? What does Navamsha look like and the Moon's position in it? Actually the whole situation needs to be weighed. But the exchnge of signs Sambandha is a pwerful yoga called Parivartan yoga, and in wetern astrology, it is called "mutual reception". It means that both lords are agreeing to cooperate, which is a good thing. This is higly auspicious so far because both houses are protected. You'll attain very high mentally and spritually. But it is more of spiritual placement and you'll still experince some difficulties in material plane eventhough the loss is minimized. Hari Om and good luck with your studies, Hari Das ---------- >"maja_karo" <maja_karo >gjlist >Re: [GJ] Effect of many planets in the 12th house >Mon, Feb 18, 2002, 7:04 PM > > Hi Hari, > I have moon in the 11th house, the house of gains. Guest guest
Dear Gee, Even though I agree with what you said, there is a silent message in Parivarthana. It is nowhere clearly stated that is is always good. For instance for kark lagna, parivarthana yoga of guru/neecha/ and shani in 9th, gave unfavourable results, which also means that grahas exchange the roles. So instead of guru (lord of 9th) in 7th giving happiness in marriage and supporting travelling abroad, it gave problems and created unhappiness from abroad around 35/36 years ruled by shani. So grahas, may exchange roles in Parivarhana. Guest guest
Namaste Zoran, You are right. It does not always give favorable results. That's why i put words "so far" and stated he'll still experience difficulties because it is a yoga of spiritual nature in this case, the lord of gain in loss house and the lord of loss in the house of gain. He will suffer materially. But planets in 11th are strong and he'll achieve great height in what Moon signifies, and gain by way loss facing difficulties in worldly matter. I believe that astrologers should accentuate the positive, have optimistic tone and watch his/her tongue. It does not serve to talk about the negative in length even though they need to be pointed out. It is a delicate matter of articulation and that's why it's science and art. Ultimately it has to serve people in beneficial manner. Thanks for your comment.
