Guest guest
Dear Robert you <<A Jyotishi is someone who not only has learned fully the scriptural dicta regarding how to interpret horoscopes, but is also someone who has a 'Jnana-shakti", or empowerment due to austerities, or years of spiritual practise.>> me I have here some questions regarding the above. According to the above, that astrological empowerment mentioned comes from austerities or years of spiritual practise. My questions are "does anyone qualifies automatically for it?", "how to recognize someone that has jnana shakti?" and "how long it takes of spiritual practise to get that jnana sakti?. And also, what is a spiritual practise? Regarding a jyotish, I understand by it a fully qualified astrologer. But in this Kali yuga I feel that we are all students rather than masters. To fully learn "the scriptural dicta regarding how to interpret horoscopes" requires 2 or 3 life times because we have more than 100,000 slokas to learn. My understanding is that we are all learning vedic astrology and some of us have more practical knowledge and intuition that others but our false ego can be a big burden to our practise. I understand as well that it is very difficult (although not impossible) to detect a good astrologer from a bad one because in other sciences it is more easy to see the results. For example, in medicine we can easily verify if someone can heal cancer, and therefore, in a positive case, we can say that a person has the healing power. In astrology, exact predictions does not qualify for a good astrologer, we have to see the human quality behind it, the practical blending of understanding past and present karma and the proper guidance to confront and deal with those karmas. you <<When a person has performed his or her Sadhana under the guidance of a guru, for a very long time, then he/she receives a "siddhi", or specific yogic empowerment to read into the future by way of analysing planetary relationships>> me May I ask, for how long the sadhaka has to perform his shadana to be able to receive that siddhi? And can you explain more about that astrological empowermernt?, like what is about, or what is the symptom and benefit of it? Best wishes Natabara Das
