Dear Nicholas,

Thank you!

the judge, but I read somewhere that the 10th could also be taken

into account, reason why I asked for help, because in case where 9th

and 10th having different dispositors, placed in different houses,

etc, causes some difficulties in interpreting.

Vyam Vysadevaya Namah

---------------

Dear Lucia,

9th and Jupiter/Sag, for one who upholds Dharma and

hence also Law.

Long term education?

Primary Education is seen from 4th house. If we work

hard(6th) we can goto higher educations(6th from 4th

is; 9th).

The details of what we do in the higher educations is

seen from Chathurthamsa(D-24), and best messured(my

experience) through Narayana Dasa, whilst the

experiences that affect the person is seen from

Vimshottari Dasa.

Best wishes, Visti.

Dear Visti,

Just one more question, if you do not mind of course. When talking about

education and you mentioned "mesuring" you said Narayana Dasa, is it the

same as Chara Dasa? If so, shall I read and interpret it the same way as

Vimshottari? Thanks again. for that.

Best wishes, Lucia.

Dear All

I'll add another piece to the puzzle. I take the 12th house for PhDs. They

need to retreat from the world much as one would go to the ashram and devote

themselves to a particular study. They must have faith that they will be able

to find a position and need to devote themselves to many hours working alone or

with a guru. If the 9th house is poor, they struggle because they have no help.

An Adhi Pati dharma karma yoga really helps.

ps I live with one who has Exalted SAturn in the 4th Cancer lagna and Jupiter

with Ketu in the 12th.

The notion of looking at the 4th house for education is very far off the mark in

my experience. I've had the fortune to read for a number of folks with advanced

degrees and many have a strong Rahu union with Moon or Mars or some intense

combination to make it through all of the hoops one must jump through.

Re: [GJ] Significators

Dear Lucia

I take 5th for education but it is a long running argument .Many jyotishis take

the 4th house .Advanced studies are seen from the 9th house because these

require a guru or guru type figure i.e someone very advanced in the

discipline. The third house has to do with communication which is how we view

the devolopment of children in their early years .So I would correlate this

house with early childhood development . 6th for servants .

I would take 9th house for judges as he sits in the court as a Guru like figure

who all parties have to defer to . This last one is a guess .

Hope this helps

Dear Sirs,

Tahnk you!

Someone sent to my mail the 6th house for servants, but I am still missing

the meaning for a Judge in the Rasi chart (would that be the 10th or 9th?), and

also if the 3rd or 5th for long term education, considering that the 9th is

taken for superior studies. Thank you.

Dear Cynthia,

If I might interject here :-)

You are absolutely right to assume that 12th is strongly connected with

university/college (campus) life.

Confinement in any institution is seen primarily from this house...hospitals,

army barracks, college campus, boarding school, monastery, ashram, cave etc.,

are all under the jurisdiction of this house.

However one may spend years confined to campus life and still not obtain a

degree. On the other hand one may well obtain a PhD without ever being confined

to a campus.

Albert Einstein is a prime example...

Whilst employed at the Swiss Patent Office he completed many publications in

theoretical physics. He submitted one of these papers to the university of

Zurich to obtain a degree in 1905. In 1908 he sent another paper to the

university of Bern and became a lecturer there.

>From Aug. 1895 to Apr. 1908 he was in the bhukti of Jupiter in the mahadasa of Venus.

Venus moolatrikona is 5th house of the mind (intelligence). Venus is in the

constellation of 1st/4th lord Mercury and along with Mercury forms a "shubha

kartari yoga" around 9th lord Saturn...who is lord of 9th house of higher

education, and dispositor of bhukti lord Jupiter...

To my mind, it's not difficult to see the story unfold. Lagnesh Mercury has the

4th as it's moolatrikona sign...obtainment of degree! It is in the

constellation of 9th lord Saturn; is involved in kartari yoga with dasa lord

Venus who's moolatrikona sign is the 5th house of intelligence...and most

significant, is disposited by 10th lord Jupiter in 9th house of higher

learning.

His career, his occupation revolved around this!

In 1914 he was appointed professor at the Kaiser Wilhelm Gesellschaft in Berlin,

the highest post that a theoretical physicist could hold in Central Europe.

VE/ME/SA I'm presuming as he would likely have taken up his post at the

beginning of the year (first semester?).

It is documented that, although (from an early age) he excelled in mathematics,

he did not do well in his early schooling. Note Ketu in 2nd house of (primary)

education whilst 2nd lord is fallen in 6th house of struggles. It is said that

(without finishing his secondary education) he failed an entrance exam for a

Swiss Institute of Technology.

I have been taught, and I have found it to be so in all the charts I've done so

far, that the 2nd shows formal (primary/secondary) education; the 4th shows

educational degree; the 5th shows intelligence; the 9th shows higher education

and the 12th shows campus/boarding school etc.

Apologies for the long post :-)

Best Wishes,Wendy

om gurave namah------------------------Dear Lucia,

depends on what chart you are talking about. Unless the chart is defined, how

are you attempting to define the placement of the various constituent people.

is it a Muhurta, prasna or janma Kundali of an employee in the court or is it

the chart of a lawyer or a litigant? The Judge has a different meaning for each

of these.

Fourth is the house of education as per standard canons in Vedic astrology.

Others follow fifth as this is the house of knowledge. there are many people

with education but with little knowledge and vice versa too. Ninth has to do

with higher learning, basically college and post graduate studies. The third

has nothing to do with education but with writing skills or such aids that help

in the expression of knowledge being the 11th from 5th house. With best
