It will make you melancholic, destroy wealth, and bestow all sorts of crises. Physical health takes a beating. Loss of partner and the subsequent ill-health, destruction of property, physical debility, illnesses, quarrels with relatives, moving away from the land of domicile - all these are the negative effects of Ketu. Ketu needs no Hetu or Cause. On the other hand, during Ketu dasha I was at my best in so far as Journalism is concerned. I was producing features for Radio and contributing regularly to leading national dailies. I have heard that rahu and ketu give effects of the lord of the house they are posited in.I also read somewhere that the strength of their effects depends on the strength of the house lord.In my case the lord of the house ketu is posited in(mars) is combust.In what way will this influence ketus effects? will someone please tell me? yours truly, vivek. I have not found that a dasha is in any way like a piñata: You burst it and wonderful things fall upon you. You have had Ketu Bhuktis. How were they? Was there anything outstanding? I have several exalted planets and find that they offer opportunity and reveal potential but without your willing to go forward you may find this time to merely be pleasant. I have seen with vlients that the Ketu MD often brings something that appears rather odd or crazy to otehrs but that the native must follow. It could take many forms. Several clients left their work and discovered painting. Not being great artists but really submerging themselves in painting. Others remain in the world they are in and also do yoga or discover meditation. It can be very peaceful as long as you flow with it. It can be very destructive if you fight the river's current. Guest guest Posted February 16, 2002 Report Share Posted February 16, 2002 Dear cynthia, sorry for the delay in replying.regarding ketu bhuktis,I have had two.that is saturn-ketu and mercury-ketu.the first was in childhood so I dont remember anything.regarding mercury-ketu,I do remember becoming detached.I suddenly lost intrest in things and gave up my studies as well(I was studying law).There was a sense of aimlessness.overall the period was bad but that is because the period coincided with sade-sati. however nothing extreme took place--either good or bad. yours truly, vivek.
