Hello all, its Zamani, Can anyone give me insight into the significance of a

Mercury - Venus Conjunction.? I have this particular Conjunction in the 12th

house in Virgo (Mercury becomes exalted in my case) and the degrees are very

close..I usually interpret it (from a Western Astrological standpoint) as an

aspect that lends to everything from a pleasent speaking voice to literary

talent.Since Venus is a love oriented as well as a sexual planet , what

possible effects would Mercury have on that Venus in those terms? A sweet

talker or a charmer prehaps? Maybe a changeable sex drive, or someone who is

very communicative in those situations? Any thoughts? Also my mother has

Mercury and Venus in the 5th house , Ive been told that the 5th represents your

first child (I am her first born son)

Zamani, the fifth house also represents creativity, brains, education, not just

first child. My sister has a Venus - Mercury combination in the fifth house,

and she is a talented artist, and getting a formal education in fine arts.

Also, normally this combination in the fifth would indicate a daughter at first

glance, unless otherwise indicated in the Navamsa and Vargas:) Maybe you should

post your Mom's chart for us all to study:)

Hi,

Your mother's chart indicates a strong woman, someone who had to face a lot of

odds, but eventually made it anyway. Are there any specific questions you have

in mind?

Also, Venus and Mercury are a good 15 degrees apart in your Mom's chart, which

is a very different situation from your chart. Also, Mercury is directly

opposed by Jupiter, which indicates a son. Since it is Mercury, the first child

will be educated, with a gift of the gab, a little fickle-minded, someone with

endless curiosity about everything.

Your Mom's chart has a Venus-Neptune conjunction in the 5th, which indicates

some superior creative/artistic skills. And a trine with Uranus shows

unconventional artistic skills as also a love for freedom.
