Guest guest
Dear Wendy & all members, Thanks for analysing my chart and your valuable comments. You are right that I've inclination for prayer, yoga and meditation. Regarding 'Kal Sarp Yog' I know that 'there is no planet conjuncting with Rahu or Ketu' for its formation. In my horoscope both the planets ie. Rahu and Ketu are conjucting with Saturn (Lagan Lord) and Moon respectively. Pls guide me is it the case of 'Kal Sarp Yog'??? Certainly some changes, often unexpected and unwelcome, can be expected with this conjunction. Ultimately though these changes should turn out for the best (in a foreign land) due to the influence of Saturn's dispositor, Jupiter. > > Best Wishes, > Wendy > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > Wendy Vasicek: Vedic Astrologer > http://www.members.tripod.com/ganesh_astro/ > JyotishVidya > wenvas@d... > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Dear Praveen, Certainly some say that KSY is formed when all the planets are sandwiched between Rahu and Ketu and not vice versa. However I was taught that either Node leading will give results of KSY. I'm not familiar with the rule that states "no planet should be conjuncting" for it's formation. I can understand this theory if either conjoining planet were outside the sandwich, but otherwise I cannot see the logic :-) Perhaps someone can clarify this some more? Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah -------------------- Dear Wendy and Parveen, I was taught this by my Guru. Wendy, you can close your eyes now . When Rahu is first to transit all the planets and Luminaries, before Ketu, then there is Kala Sarpa Yoga. When Ketu does the same instead, then there is; Kala Amrita Yoga. The effects are similar, in that the person is always strung between the extremes of Materialism(Rahu) and Spirituality(Ketu), until the yoga breaks in the 43rd or 45th year respectively. However the result of the two Yogas is different. In Case of KSY, Rahu wins the battle, and the person is more inclined towards materialistic ideals, at worst criminal activitiy. In case of KAY, Ketu wins and makes the person spiritual, at best a Saint. So in case of KSY the king is Rahu, and in case of Ketu the king is Ketu. Look at their positions respectively to see the focus of the Yoga. Now for breaking the Yoga; If Benefics are in Lagna, 7th or join either of the Nodes, the Yoga is broken in the Natural Year of the benefic. Natural Benefics offcourse. Moon, Jup & Venus produce: MahaSankhya Yoga, MahaPadma Yoga & Malavya Yoga, respectively. You can also advise a person to associate with the person breaking the Yoga, to break the yoga prematurely. Malefics can also break the yoga, but the results are barely noticeable, as nothing auspicious will come of it. Hope this helps. Guest guest
So basically Visti: What you're saying is that the effects of KSY will be felt regardless...same difficulties etc., different twist...but still the effects of KSY will be felt by the native. >>The effects are similar, in that the person is always strung between the extremes of Materialism(Rahu) and Spirituality(Ketu)<< So I think that without getting too bogged down with hair-splitting theories we can assume, as I said, that the effects of KSY will be felt regardless of which node is leading...not so?! Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah ----- Dear Wendy, Yes. But keep in mind what i also said; "In case of KSY Rahu will be the king of the chart." The chart is like a country, and if the king is evil, its very bad for the country.
