Guest guest
Dear Natabara That was my point .Mars always rules Aries(as far as I know) but Venus does not always rule Bharani . I thank Savant for his/her points and now leave it up to the list members to decide for themselves . Interesting that Bharani has produced the most argument : - ) Professor Humbug - natabara GJlist Sunday, January 20, 2002 12:08 AM [GJ] RE BHARANI Professsor Nicholas you <<I am not of the opininion that Venus truly rules Bharani .In other dashas another planet may be assigned Lordship of Bharani. >> me Could you then tell me the real rulership of the 12 signs of the zodiac? <o:) Best wishes Natabara DasOm Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya; Hare Krishna; Om Tat SatTo , send an email to: gjlist-http://www.goravani.comYour use of is subject to the
Guest guest
Dear Nicholas [Andrew, if your reading this IS cynthia] Once I sat with 3 women. They asked me to do a session helping them find a way to be creative and somehow work together. One was Moon in Bharani, the 2nd Moon in Purva Phalguni and the 3rd in Purve Bhadrapadapa. As you know all 3 are governed by Venus. It was an intense and exhaustive session, and something I will not do again. I say 3 faces of the goddess and each one intense and determined. I came out of that session with the understanding that Venus was not a 2-dimensional caricature as often portrayed in Greco-ROman mythology. She has the courage to go to the underworld, the power to give birth and the pleasant demeanor to make anyone comfortable with gracious hospitality. I guess I really don't care what planet rules which mansion in fact, I am more interested in the character of each and I see the 3 as manifestations of a powerful feminine goddess energy. OK, remind me that Venus is a yellow-eyed, red faced man. But don't forget that Venus is the planet that has the ability to go to the underworld and rise to the heights of spiritual compassion. Now, Andrew, if you want to trash something I wrote go for it! cynthia - Nicholas gjlist Sunday, January 20, 2002 11:15 AM Re: [GJ] RE BHARANI Dear Natabara That was my point .Mars always rules Aries(as far as I know) but Venus does not always rule Bharani . Guest guest
Dear Cynthia I presume you mean Purva Ashada rather than Purva Bhadrapada . None of the planets are 2 dimensional caricatures ,Venus for example although associated with love, romance, beauty ,art, fashion has still been designated Brahmana or one who seeks after spiritual understanding . On the whole it is safer for all of us not to jump to hasty conclusions or make sweeping statements .I have pointed out that Bharani is assigned to other planets in other dashas and on this basis have questioned those who assume that Lordship of a nakshatra is the same as Lordship of a rasi. However pride of place is given to Vimshottari dasha and it could well be that the nakshatras are coloured by their pride of place Lord . Personally I don't accept this but maybe many years down the track it will dawn on me that I've been wrong for 10 years or 10 lifetimes . The rules for jataka or birth chart interpretation are not always the same as the rules for the other branches of Vedic astrology such as muhurtha or prasna ..So it is fine to keep it simple and thoroughly sharpen the basic tools as an approach but in the end in astrology we are dealing with something that is extremely complex .Others may follow the approach of having lots of tools at their disposal whilst others may stress intuition and others again stress worship of an Ishta devata or their personal deity . So I hope by writing this I can reestablish the peace and good harmony and then we can move on . Best of luck to all regardless of your approach I really want to see many succeed Nicholas - cynthia novak gjlist Monday, January 21, 2002 1:29 PM Re: [GJ] RE BHARANI Dear Nicholas [Andrew, if your reading this IS cynthia] Once I sat with 3 women. Guest guest
Dear Cynthia I have Venus exalted in my chart as atmakaraka. I know the power of Venus very well. Being exalted doesn't exactly make it benefic - in fact Venus periods have spelled great disaster in my life. Venus is 4th and 9th lord-Yogakaraka. Exalted Venus has brought exalted misery for me in its sub-periods. Andrew [Andrew, if your reading this IS cynthia] Once I sat with 3 women.
