Guest guest
Dear Carol you wrote <<humorous as well as a point to think about. >> me Can you imagine having a bacteria as a twin? It will be very funny indeed. you <<Bacteria would have different 'parents' than a baby, so it wouldn't have similar relatives and in-laws, nor the same lifespan, to be sure.>> me Sure. According to the Vedas, due to our karma and desires at a certain point we may be given the body of a bacteria. I wonder if as a bacteria we also have astrologers (that are bacteria as well of course). you <<I like what you said about ideas being given a suitable horoscope by higher authorities...it makes me think that one might ask the higher authorities to help give birth to the best ideas at the right time!>> me One time, i was talking to a sadhu, and the sadhu said "thoughts of my guru came to me, and you have helped to trigger those thoughts". So i thought that thoughts are like clouds coming and going and we perceive them according to our disposition. That is one of the reasons why we pray to higher authorities to give us nice thoughts. They say that Newton got his theory of relativity in a flash of thought. Many inventions have been born like that as well, as a flash of inspiration. >From where those ideas come from? Our body is only lent for a while, to be used as a vehicle by our soul. Mind, intelligence etc. are lent as well. The real self represented by the sun is 100% pure in his original form, but once in contact with this body represented by the horoscope, that soul interacting with the material energy becomes false ego, represented as well by the sun in the chart. Descartes, the French philosopher said "I think, therefore I am". He achieved that level of awareness, he thought that the mind was the Self, unaware that the mind is just a subtle vehicle to the Self. The simptom of the soul is consciousness, awareness, represented by the 5th house and by the sun. When studying transits, the moon sign is primordial. The mind is represented by the moon and the moon is the seat of the powers of thinking, feeling and willing. Therefore, those factors become affected with the transit of the planets. The key words for Gemini, Cancer and Leo are "I think", "I feel" and "I will" respectively. Those 3 factors are within the power of the mind. But while thinking and willing may be within the mind in a legislative state, their executive power is more evident in Gemini and Leo. Something similar to the Moon and ascendant sign. A moon in Aries and an ascendant Aries have the same qualities of Aries. But the Moon sign has always the traits more prominent than the ascendant sign. When we put the signs in their natural format to see the houses, Gemini rules the 3rd house, the house of communication, the thinking ability; Cancer rules the 4th house, the house representing the mind, the feelings, the emotions, education, mother etc.; and Leo rules the 5th house, the will power, higher instructions etc. The mind brings thoughts which may the mother of an invention. Due to our education, inventions are thought. Everything starts in the mind. An architect thinks in how to plan a city, urbanisation, and then draws the plan to be projected according to the prevalent needs. The city may be built but it starts as a thought, as an idea. The 6th house indicates obstacles among other things. Whitout obstacles, we are passive, Obstacles are a challenge that trigger in us the instinct to overcome the obstacle or to put things right. The 6th house from the 4th (mind, mother) is the 9th house. Therefore the 9th is the father, the one that triggers our being. The 10th house may be the legislative father (the husband to the mother, the provider of goods from the assests of the father), but the executive father can be seen from the 9th, the one that helps to overcome a challenge, an obstacle to the mind or mother. A mother is a woman with child. No child, no motherhood. Therefore, a mother has two functions, as a wife and as a mother. The 7th house is the spouse or partner but the 8th is the sexuality and the 6th by being the 12th to the 7th is an end. In the vedas we believe in cycles and not in a linear thought as in the modern world. In cycles, the end is the beginning of something new. In a similar way, the 9th house is the 12th from the 10th. If the 10th is the husband to mother, the 9th is the procreation, the progenitor, THE FATHER. In this way, the husband has two functions, one is as the husband and the other as the father. There are clearly two functions here. Both, husband and father may be the same person but there is a huge difference in functions. One protects and the other procreates.
