Guest guest
Dear Cynthia <<Would the slight movement have been seen when BPHS was written or is it more subtle?>> Once in the past i was researching about Rahu in the BPHS and i found the word vakra. Vakra means retrograde. And not backwards and forwards. The basics of Vedic astrology were given in written about 5,000 years ago but a lot of oral teaching were left as well. I have met with some astrologers that were old and were living hign in the mountains of the Himalayas. They did not miss anything and taking into consideration that Parasara is the father of Srila Vyasadeva, i am sure that any movement of Rahu was detected. If you hear how Vyasadeva was conceived by Parasara you could understand the kind of sage that he was. The basic rules given in the BPHS are good 5,000 years ago and now. <<or is it more subtle?>> It can be. natabara
