Guest guest
dear ravindra your analogy is quite good.but i was discussing on badhakesh ond not on malefics. for mithuna and virgo lagnas, jupiter is badhakesh. he is having kendradhipatya dosha. he doesnot become malefice. he becomes functional malefic as he cannot gove his good results due to sheer pressure of woning two kendras. he is a strong graha and he needs to own two kendras to lose his ability to give good results. he never becomes a rowdy by being a kendra lord. he creates badha or obstructions in property matters, and wife, and career. that is it. regarding the malefics for other lagnas their placement in malefic houses is good as they lose their power to do bad. see a rowdy who has been a hero in a cage(12th house) is defiently better than a rowdy who is roaming on raods(kendras and konas). regards partha gjlist, ravindramani <ravindramani> wrote: > > Friends, > I am not able to understand the basic logic of malefic planets posited in malefic houses will give good results - i.e. their maleficity is getting reduced by which we can assume they give good results. > Please consider this situation. > A saintly man meditating and he creates a good vibrations he lives. Guest guest
Dear Ravindra The concept of malefic planets being placed in malefic houses being good is one of the most controversial in Vedic astrology . Why some might think like that can be considered at least 2 ways . Say 8th house rules obstructions and 6th house rules enemies then 8th in 6th brings obstructions to enemies . Another way that this is sometimes considererd is that the 6th ,8th and 12th Lords are like the bar owner ,the brothel owner and the runner of the gambling den . Not good characters but they might find themselves right at home in the other's territory . On the other hand they may be ill at ease in places of pilgrimage .A place of pilgrimage may lose it's potency if many such characters reside there . Hope this helps Nicholas - ravindramani gjlist Tuesday, January 15, 2002 8:29 PM Re: [GJ] Mercury as Badhakesh-dear ravindra Dear Partha, Neither i talked of badaka nor the planet one who suffers from kendradipadi dosha. Guest guest
Dear Deepak Yes there are problems with malefic lords in malefic houses .Sage Parasara gives nice qualities to the native who has Lord of the 12th in 8th but it could also bring some losses to longevity . Only the good die young : - ) It's not funny! I have this thing and I worry about it all the time. I have mars in cancer in the eighth house at exactly 28th degree and scorpio lord of the 12th. Mars is also vargottama, Capricorn 28 in Navamsha, and I comfort myself with this when I get too weirded out wondering who is right and who is wrong about mars in the eighth. Once when I was playing with Das' program I found out that the chart mine most resembles is Buddy Holly's. You have to be pretty calm of mind to digest such information, which I normally am not. love, the other c
Guest guest
I simply expressed my inability to understand the logic of malefic planets posited do good in malefic houses Sir it seems that the logic is that these influences are neither good or bad of themselves. Such as mars, this is a terrible, violent planet sometimes but we need aggression and assertion to move us forward. Sometimes a person has an enemy and will have to fight or defend himself. Mars also gives strength in sexual nature, in competition, in motivation; such as a person who wants to start a business needs a martial attitude, or a person who's faced with a hardship needs resolve. So in that these energies are not necessarily always bad ( but one could argue they are often bad), a malefic in a malefic might give a native the lucky advantage of being able to muster this energy in the right time and place and then put it away. In other words, Mars is appropriate on a battlefield but not at the opera. I have only had one real experience with my Vipreet Raj yoga in my life, thank goodness. But this was a car accident in which I was hit by a car on the driver's side and passed out, the car that hit me was going about forrty five miles an hour. I don't remember any part of it at all, and the accident ended up giving the person who hit me something like 180,000 in a settlement. The man who hit me had a previous injury upon which he blamed this accident, and also friends in the police department. So this could have been a *terrible* thing that happened. But! Other than a shoulder that was sore for about four months, I was absolutely fine, the insurance company paid the settlement, and I got a new car. Obviously the man who hit me was even better off. He finally got the medical attention his old injury had left him with plus $180,000 in a settlement. Lol, maybe his Mars is the luckiest one. c
Guest guest
Dear Ravindra! I Agree with nicholas on this. Dushasana Lords in Dushasana Sthana causes Harsha, Sarla and Vimala Yoga, which are also called Vipreeta Raja Yogas. As Nicolas was giving the Logic, it is perfectly fine. But there are problems, which are faced by native when he has those yogas. And unless the Lagna is Strong those Yogas may not help the native. In cases when Lagna is Strong it can also be a boon for native despite getting obstructions. These planets will give him Stamina to fight those odds (esp. when 6th is involved). Thanks Deepak gjlist, "Nicholas" <jyotish108@h...> wrote: > Dear Ravindra > The concept of malefic planets being placed in malefic houses being good is one of the most controversial in Vedic astrology .
