Dear Cynthia

Nice to hear from you again .I was waiting for a comment on Uttara Shada before

moving to another nakshatra .

Rahu and Ketu returns are considered difficult generally and lead to feelings of unsettlement .

The first Rahu return is around 18 about the time one leaves school for work or

further study .Finding the right line of work or field of study is often

stressful enough but this is also the time when one moves from dependece to

independence .

My own experience is that the 18 year returns were both difficult but I did not

have problems with the 9 and 27 year reverse returns .

Others please share their experiences or researches .

Re: [GJ] Aspects from the nodes

Dear All

I use the 5th and 9th aspects as well and get good results. What Nicholas says

is true: The tighter they are to exact the more powerfully the energy is

thrown.

What do any of you find with the return of Rahu and Ketu and the opposing

transit. What I'm referring to is the transit of Rahu to Ketu and Ketu to

natal Rahu?

Hi Nicholas,

Rahu/Ketu returns seem to be more important for some people than others and

their natal positions/condition count for a lot, as well as the running

dashas. My nodes are both well placed and I experienced my first full nodal

return about a year ago. It didn't do anything major. Things carried on as

normal. The only difference it made was a bit psychological in that it made

me very lazy and confused, and kind of "goal-less". I tend to be a very

planned/planning person, and at this time none of my planning would work due

to my own laziness. Lots of uni assignments and work was left to the last

few days leading to lower marks, which I'd never got in the past. In the end

though things worked out fine and normal.

Thanks for listening,

Pursottam

Dear Nicholas

I missed Utar Ashada. I was out of town for 6 days and the list was really active!

If you have the Utar Ashada post handy, would you forward it to me? I am most

interested in anything about Abijit (sp?)

I'm currently having the Rahu to Ketu or flipped return. It has been pretty

peaceful. I often sens in clients that it is a time of coming together. There

is an opportunity for all the chakras to work together. Still, I'll admit after

the anxiety-prone Ketu transit over my moon I was a little apprehensive. But,

like you, this transit has been very gentle.

I'm also still curious about any thoughts about the group of planets and Rahu in Mrigashira in May.

A dear friend and pro. Vedic astrologer is convinced that there will be chemical

warfare and poisoning of the water supply in May.

I cant really be objective because this group is my varshaphal and I was rather

looking forward to it with all the planets by transit in my 5th <grins>. Still

she makes some sound astrological points.

But here comes another question for those out there to ponder. Is she

objective? That groups of planets will fall in her 12th. Is she picking up

some impending doom from her own chart i.e. perceptions? Am I limited by my

own expectations? Is an astrologer ever detached enough to be totally

unbiased???

Thank you all for indulging me. I'm exhausted today. I did free little

readings for 4 hours today at the Dallas Convention CEnter. Fortunately for me

most of the folks standing in line had planets in Gemini Libra Sag. or Aquarius.

Happy trails to you

Hi Nicholas and Cynthia, I wondered about this too. The nodal placements for me

are rahu in sag, ketu in gem and thinking back to when I was 18, there didn't

seem to be much of anything going on that I can remember. I'm 28 now, and I

think I can relate to to the unsettlement part more for the opposite return, but

I didn't keep track of the exact tranit hits. but one day though i was feeling

this...relief feeling i guess, not even of anything in particular, but just

relief, and so i checked the transits and mars was transiting my rahu. mars is

in aries trine rahu and conjunct in the navamsha. i have this feeling it was an

important transit, but i just can't put my finger on why. oh well :) but,

also, i've been trying to keep an extra eye on rahu lately, to see if it makes

sense to include him as my atmakaraka, otherwise it's the sun. dave birr was

also wondering about this too, and he had an example for his wife's darakaraka

why both could work, and in my case, rahu is conjunct venus and the sun is in

libra, so both of them have a venusian inflence, and then in the navamsha rahu

is in gem, and the sun is in pisces, and they're both wishy washy signs and i'm

pretty wishy washy, so it's hard to tell. i feel like i have this opportuinty

though now to figure it out because the period i'm in is ra/su, and i finished

ra/ve a couple months ago. one thing i've read was that the person suffers a

lot during the dasa of the atmakaraka, but that's confusing because i'm not sure

how you're supposed to know if you're suffering or not, do you have ideas on how

to see which one is the most fitting karaka when there seems to be a such a

close call? also, to Cynthia, i saw your other post about soul mates, and i

think it fits me a little too, i'm a sravana moon :) angie
