Thanks for your input on this . I think we are presenting some balanced

perspectives here which Ashvin can then consider . My teacher also warned me

not to push persons into a marriage even when you think the match is great .

There may be something not easily picked but which creates incompatibility . So

the couple must feel very comfortable with each other then astrologers can help

identify stronger and weaker areas so the couple are forewarened .Four warned

is forearmed and four armed is Lord Visnu .

I understand you logic in reading in that way. Angles between planets are

important in a single chart and in a compatibility. And a fire compatibility

can helps 2 people.

 

In a single chart, 5/9 angles are important to asses the general outcome during

the planetary planets. And regarding a compatibility, that angle between

planets to assess 2 people's charts is also helpful.

 

Although Deepak's tip is very helpful in giving our attention to Muhurta, we are

supposed to asses the overall trends.

 

Raman's Muhurta says that when the boy's rasi fall in the 5th from that of the

girl, there will be unhappiness. But viceverse, or when the girl's moon is in

the 5th from that of the boy, thetre will be enjoyment and prosperity.

 

The value given for this kuta is 7 points out of 36, indicating a very important kuta.

 

I read once in the Astrological Magazine about the case of a couple that 3 vedic

astrologers gave the go ahead in their kutas.

 

Later on, during the wedding of that couple, some one gave the compatinility to

be assesed by a 4th astrologer. This astrologer only gave a quick view of the

chart and predicted that there was going to be sorrow in this match.

 

Few days later the husband died.

 

Astrologers were intrigued about the 4th prediction and asked the astrologer why

he was successful in his prediction after the other 3 astrologers saw that the

kutas were ok.

 

The 4th astrologer said that when he was given the charts of the couple to asses

their compatibility, he overheard the screaming of a child and understood the

omen as a disgrace to see soon.

 

If we find that the couple pass the compatibility, in my experience, sometimes

we have to explain the good and the bad trends.

 

I also heard that when there is love between the couple, compatibilities are not valid.

 

Therefore astrologers have to study many factors and not forgetting to follow their intuition.
