is our existence a dream of another person-dear dave

dear dave,

 

reading vedanta is my hobby and i am seeking many answers from them.

just imagine that a dave is sleeping and dreaming in another planet.

he is dreaming of himself living in another planet called earth.

there dave laughs, cries, works, rejoices etc. he sleeps in the other

planet. cant we have movies in which there are movies. arenot there

instances where there have been hollywood movies where the movie

talks about a movie being made. any way, kindly answer this.

when the dave of another planet wakes up, the dave in this planet

dies. is it not possible.

A Monk slept, and sleeping, dreamed that he was a butterfly....then

he awoke, and waking, saw that he was a monk, except that in his mind,

he wondered which was the real him...the monk or the butterfly...

 

there IS no answer to your question dear Partha that will satisfy

you...because it is a game of mirrors....

 

does it matter whether you are dreaming your life here from another

planet or not? still we are here in this dream, and still it is

necessary to behave in a Dharmic fashion, or the Karma police will

give us a sound thrashing...so what difference does it make which

level of dreaming you prefer to argue about...it is all a dream until

you wake up...this entire planet is full of half-asleep people...and

i'm talking of the day side...the night side...well...there you go...

 

it doesn't require a Jyotish explanation because NONE will suit

you...it appears that you are merely PLAYING with the poor members on

this list...unless you'd like the Jyotish lesson given all of us by

the Planets themselves.....

 

if you wish to die soon, i hope that you will realise that this is a

foolish wish (unless you are already terminally ill with some nasty

disease!)...cause you WILL die soon enough already...might as well

enjoy what we've got here in this dream...the alarm clock is bound to

go off one day anyways...or we COULD WAKE UP....with a healthy DOSE of

the Divine Grace...and a LOT of humility....and i MEAN a LOT of

humility...but otherwise...it's dreamland for us, until Mother Sani

decides to wake us up with a good shaking.....

 

Sade Sati for example is a good time for that...guaranteed humility or

you're GONNA HURT....the more humble the better...and service to the

lowly...oh yes that helps us out of that dream land......try a little

bum wiping, and tooth brushing, my friend, if you think you're in

dreamland all the time...just tell yourself, that as you take care of

that disabled person and they drool on you....that it's all a

dream...and when they yell at you cause you weren't gentle

enough...that's all a dream too....and when they bite you cause you

still didn't listen...well...that blood poison is all a dream

too...and it'll get you out of THIS one into ANOTHER one....so enjoy

the ride...on Mother's Merry-go-round Ferris wheel combination....lots

of fun....don't drop your cotton candy....and don't forget your vinyl

gloves....
