Hi,

Does anybody have the standard data for India close at hand? I know of

Rushdie's Midnight's Children so that likely takes care of the time, and I

have some hazy memory of mid May 1947. More (and correct) details would be

most appreciated.

Indian Independence took place on 14/15 August 1947 at 1201 hrs.

Chart is to be made for the Capital of India i.e. New Delhi.

Fixed sign was rising.

The Muhurta was Abhijit

Shri K.N. Rao has analysed this chart in the Journal of Astrology, ( the second

or the third one) in depth.
