Guest guest
Hare Krishna Stavavali Matayi Dandavats. If Krishna has been giving me wisdom i want to share it with all. God lend us these bodies including our brains, we are only glad to have vehicles to learn how to serve Him. I feel sad to hear about your dear Mother's departure. Every time that i hear a similar story, my heart is saddened. In the spiritual world, there are many spiritual relationships with Krishna (God) according to our love for Him. Among those levels of love for Godhead are the neutral, friendly, parenthood and consorthood. Love is in every level. Similarly, in this material platform, love is everywhere. We love our helpers, friends, siblings, parents, gurus etc. We are told that there are two kinds of love. Love in Union and Love in Separation. We are told as well that love in separation is the greatest. In love in union there is happiness and comfort but there is also the fear of being separated from the beloved. In love in Separation, there is also happiness and eagerness that we are going to meet soon with our beloved. Love in separation is the highest but the most difficult of all, and perhaps the most painful. However, a life of Lord Brahma that according to the Vedas last for 311,040,000,000 human years or 12,000,000 rounds in the precession of the equinoxes (2,160 years X 12 signs of the zodiac = 25,920 human years X 12 million = a life of Brahma. And a life of Lord Brahma is equal to about 1/5 of a second in Goloka Vrindavan or the home of God. Because there is the promise that one day we all will be together in the spiritual realm, the pain of separation from our beloved beings may seem to last an eternity but regarding the time in the absolute realm, even a life of Brahma is like the snap of our fingers. According to the vedas, even by chanting the Holy Name of God once, we received divine protection. We have read about it like in the case of Ajamila. For a devotee of God that has given his/her life for God, disregarding austerities and discomforts, God protects even more. Because you are a devotee of the Lord and because you have giving yourself to God, i believe that Krishna has already given protection to your dear mother as well. Disregarding of her life style, Krishna likes to give concessions to His devotees and their beloved. We have see the case of Pundarika that externally he was a nondevotee but internally, he was in a very high level of love to Godhead. Even Gadadhara prabhu failed to recognise in Pundarika the symptoms of God-realisation and therefore to pay for that "offence", Lord Caitanya later allowed Gadadhara to take spiritual initiation from Pundarika. The pastimes of Krishna are difficult to understand by devotees, never mind by non-believers. I thank you with all my heart for your kind description of my writings. I pray always to Krishna to give me the wisdom to help and share to others. About 9 months ago i almost died and now i think that if i am alive i should give my life to the service of the Lord according to my circumstances and abilities. Partha is a nice devotee but unfortunately a chauvinistic attitude got hold of him. During the last millenniums a male orientated attitude has been conditioning almost everybody. Conditionments are very difficult to see or to break and it is time that females are given the respect and encouragement that they much deserve. On tv we see that the Taliban regime was very bad against women. Now, that the Taliban does not exist, the chauvinistic attitude in some males can be seen. On tv we see how some men still beat up women in the street. An Afhgan male said after beaten up a woman on the street and on tv, "women have to be beaten up because they have to learn to be well behaved". What nonsens is that? The Taliban is not more but their conditionment after 5 years in power is still there. It is going to take some time to re-educate that attitude. The Taliban distorted the educative system to satisfy its selfish and ignorant ways. They distorted the understanding of the holy scriptures. In a similar way, Srila Prabhupada had a great respect for women, he translated a part of the vedas, i saw him a few times, but unfortunately, some people misrepresent or misunderstand his writings. Those bad elements have to be corrected, otherwise we are in risk of suffering from other small Talibans. I am sure that Krishna will correct Partha's heart in due time. <<take care hope you are feeling better, blessings to you and all on the list for the coming year>> I am already feeling better with your blessings matayi. Have a nice and happy new year 2002. best wishes Natabara Das
