Dear Jim

<<Did you clean them and use the appropriate mantras when you started using

them? I'm told this is very important and can make the difference with any gem,

hydrothermal or other.>>

I do not have the experience with gems because i do not wear them but i do have

friends that have installed gems.

After a gem has been installed, a person should not take the gem to filthy

places like cemeteries, toilets or bathrooms.

Once upon a time, i was with a friend in the Amsterdam airport. He needed to go

to the toilet and gave me to keep for few minutes his ring with an installed gem

on it.

We also installed a ruby on a dagger on a Sunday just after sunrise. It was a

difficult task to find a willing jeweller to open his work shop and work on

Sunday at a very early time.

After the set up was done, we had a surya ceremony to properly install the gem.

Best wishes

Dear Natabara,

Here's a doubt:

I watched a respected and well known astrologer on television,

in an episode where he answered a viewer's question about gems.

He clearly said that one should not separate the gems from the

body after they have been purified by puja and mantras. According to

him, after a gem has been installed and worn, it becomes an extension

of your body. Also, it should not be given to or worn by another person

even for a short time, because you never know what effect it may have

on that person, especially since you have endowed it with special energy

when you chant mantras.

What do you think of this person's views? Please tell me because I am

confused.
