Dear friends,

Every astrologer wants to predict events accurately whether

he is a student or an advanced student or a professional.

What is composite approach? Generally, a student employs

Vimshottari Dasha only when he tries to predict events. Of

course, there is no doubt; Vimshottari is the best Dasha

system employed in all natal charts without any

precondition attached to it. But some times, it is very

difficult to pin point the events accurately with the help

of Vimshottari only.

Hence I was taught to employ one or more Dashas

simultaneously to predict or corelate the events, which are

to manifest during a particular period. This is called

Composite Technique. (This system is taught to hundreds of

students in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, in India, under the

guidance of Shri K.N. Rao, one of the well-known and

reputed astrologers of India. He always insists of this

technique. Thanks to him, his institution and his able

faculty members and I am proud, was one of the students of

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, India. In this school, every

student is insisted upon to employ, at the least, two

dashas before coming to a conclusion.)

What are the recommended Dashas? Chara Dasha of Jaimini

and the Yogini Dasha are very useful in pin pointing the

events when employed with Vimshottari. At the least, one

should make use of two dashas, which will give a fair

amount of idea of the current running period. (Mr. Rao

employes more than 3 or 4 dashas simultaneously to predict

events accurately. Mr. Rao has written excellent books on

Jaimini Chara Dasha and Mandook Dasha, one more dasha

system based on chara karakas of jaimini, which can be

referred to for detailed analysis and for proper

application. For Yogini Dasha, an excellent book – written

by Shri Rajeev Jhanji and Shri N.K. Sharma)

I found it amazingly, the method of analysing the natal

chart through Jaimini karakas and the chara dasha gives

excellent results and when it is being co-related with the

normal method of Parashara. In the same way, the Yogini

Dasha also gives accurate results when it is made use of,

an easy system for calculation purposes, even one can

calculate mentally.

I consider this technique very useful and I am posting this

mail sincerely for the beginners of Hindu astrology who can

benefit from this composite approach.

Regards, C.S. Ravindramani
