Guest guest
Hi Cynthia I could not sleep so i came to the computer, and by reading at some of the past emails i came across an interesting question, and in the end i saw that it was put by you on the 2 Dec. <<Wherever Rahu falls, Ketu is in the house opposite. Then comes the question. How could Rahu's aspect of that house be more important than Ketu who is already there and so impacting everyone in that house? It would not make sense>> Aspects are more important regarding the study of the bukti lord. For the dasa period we study the lordship of the houses and constellations of the planet ruling the dasa. For the bukti we study the location of the bukti lord primarily and the aspects of the bukti lord as a secondary vibration. For example, suppose that you are in the Mercury bukti and that Mercury is in your 5th house. Therefore, the main energies to be displayed during the bukti period, will be those energies related to the 5th house like children, love, diplomacy, previous lives etc. As a secondary vibration, you are likely (likely = astrology is a science of tendencies, the Lord has the last word on everything) to see the vibrations from the aspected house by Mercury, which in this case is the 11th. Therefore, the vibrations of the 11th house are likely to faintly (because they are secondary) come to you. So artha (economical development), earnings, income, friends, elder siblings-friends, etc or partners in previous lives (because if the 1st shows your present external personality and the 7th to it shows the present personality of partners, the 5th by showing among other things your personality in previous lives, has the 11th house as its 7th. Therefore, this house (11) shows the personality of partners in past lives. I have been told that when a person holds one of our debts from previous lives in his/her hands. That karmic debt may be financial, emotional, etc. That person may come in this present life to us and demand a payment to that karma. In that case, maya devi, works her illusion on us and we have to pay until that person is satisfy. That is why some times a person says "i do not like this person so much but at the same time, i do not know why he/her has a hold on me". Even so call love can be a payment to previous karma. Sometimes, the jiva is too obsessed with a person but by being bewildered in this body (hosroscope), karma and illusion work in a way that the wrong person receives the attention and some times this person misuses or abuses those attentions and he/her takes the other to the cleaners, if you know what i mean. Maya devi or mother Durga (mother nature) is the superintendent of nature, she has the power to give to us (jivas or spiritual souls) our material bodies according to our desires and deeds from previous lives. That is why we can study the intentions of an individual from the 5th house. Intentions are the foundation of this material existence and are connected to our previous lives. <<How could Rahu's aspect of that house be more important than Ketu who is already there>> In the way that i see it, Rahu is the head and it is very important. According to the Srimad Bhagavatam, Rahu is double in size to the moon, indicating how important Rahu must be. The aspect of Rahu can be seen mainly during his buktis and transits (gocharas) but in a secondary way as I said before. Therefore, the 7th house aspect from Rahu is important but the presence of Ketu and his influence is more important or primary by location. Ketu has not aspect on the 7th, only on the located house. But Rahu has more influence by being the head. That is why Rahu in the 1st has a more impact on the personality but to a secondary aspect to the opposite house, partners get his effects as well although Ketu there has more influence on them. Rahu is the Head and Kept is the tail. Any questions? Best regards natabara
Guest guest
Thank you and I am stewing it over. You asked if I had any questions and of course I do <grins> I have seen Mars with Rahu work very well and Ketu with Mars be very difficult...particularly in the charts of men. Mars and Rahu are decisive and dynamic, in every rashi that I have seen. Ketu with Mars is very fearful and often lacks direction or is rather neurotic. Sorry, do not mean to insult anyone. I sincerely believe that anyone has the power and opportunity to rise about any placement if he or she is willing to learn what it is teaching. In the analogy of Rahu throwing his aspect onto that Mars with Ketu, it would seem to me that the person would not be as fearful as I have seen. Perhaps there is more of a swing back and forth between the Ketu and RAhu energy and the only time one would come to an astrologer would be when the Ketu, fear, was at its highest. I think I will assume the latter. AFterall, it would be faulty to assume that a person, who is in pain and so seeks an astrologer is at that time at his best <big grins> c - natabara GJlist Sunday, December 23, 2001 1:40 AM [GJ] Nodal positions Hi Cynthia I could not sleep so i came to the computer, and by reading at some of the past emails i came across an interesting question, and in the end i saw that it was put by you on the 2 Dec. <<Wherever Rahu falls, Ketu is in the house opposite. Then comes the question.
